Outfit have the potential to be a very good band. Their early triple-punch of 'Every Night…', 'Vehicles', and the excellent 'Two Islands' demonstrated a group of songwriters with fantastically broad reference points. Had your fill of Radiohead remixes yet this year? Thought so. Well give it just five minutes more, because this Young Montana? rework of 'Idioteque' is actually brilliant. From 2009 but only just unearthed, it takes the deranged, skitty original (perhaps the best thing the Oxford band ever did?) and recasts it as a major key delight. Swooning melodies, a lilting bassline, and beautiful, thudding kicks combine to create something far, far too sunny for February.
