Boombar Records main-man Jowie Schulner has dropped a new tune that some of you might find a bit familiar. Like a distant memory, this track is drilled into many of our consciousness'. It's the music from the Green Hill zone of the Original 1991 Sega Mega Drive Sonic the Hedgehog, which Jowie has transformed into a storming Dreamwave epic. The Super Mario Bros. theme gets remixed like crazy. Video games and music cross paths constantly, and there's plethora of bass-thumping tracks floating in our ears while we rack-up points. Remix Artist Collective have built a pretty excellent portfolio of high profile remixes of U2, Yeah Yeah Yeahs as well some great left field stuff like Anamanaguchi. I was a Super Nintendo kid growing up. But even the biggest Nintendo nerds couldn't fake on Sonic . Mario games had more content, secrets and are arguably better in terms of replay value.
