The Crossroads Guitar Festival  is now in its fourth edition and will be taking place at the Madison Square Gardens in New York from April 12 to April 13. The festival has been around since 2004, taking place every three years and has previously featured artists like Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Zakir Hussain, JJ Cale, BB King, Pat Metheny, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy and many others. We previously announced  that the Windsong Festival would take place on Baga beach in Goa, on December 24 and 25. The festival features several acts that played at Daddy’s Windsong Wednesday nights in Mumbai, along with some new acts. The festival is one of several that will take place in Goa this month, with Live From The Console  hitting Cavelossim beach on December 29 and 30, and Sunburn Goa returning to its home ground of Candolim beach from December 27 to 29. Norwegian rock act Casa Murilo and Shillong blues group Soulmate played at Firangi Paani, Mumbai, as part of the India Music Week on Friday, November 23, and also celebrated Soulmate vocalist Tipriti 'Tips' Kharbangar's birthday.

Daddy's Windsong Wednesday nights were held at Il Terazzo in Juhu, Mumbai. The Windsong nights would feature laid-back performances by a number of acts such as Sridhar/Thayil , Something Relevant , Airport  and many others. The 2013 edition of the  Storm Festival  is scheduled to take place in Coorg on February 1 and 2, 2013. The 2012 edition featured folk rock and alt bands including Swarathma , Soulmate , and La Pongal (who were featured in episode 3 of the second season of The Dewarists , check it out here ), and a host of DJs including B.R.E.E.D and Arjun Vagale . Day two at the Bindass Fully Fantastic Stage saw a smaller lineup owing to the fact that there were only four bands playing at the stage. The stage was a lot more crowded and saw some great performances. RockStock is a series of gigs that will kick off on Thursday, July 26 at the five Hard Rock Cafes around the country. Rock Street Journal and Lemp BrewPub and Kitchen are going to hold a battle-of-the-bands competition in New Delhi this July. The competition, which has been named 'Emergence', will be held at the Lemp BrewPub and Kitchen from July 11 onwards. The call for entries is now closed but bands would have had to send in one track, the band bio and a band photo for preliminary judging. D'Angelo is officially back, y'all. In addition to playing some live shows this year, he's also talking to the press again. He recently sat down for an interview with GQ  - you can read it here - and then promptly gave them a mini-performance live on the set. He delivered a stripped-down cover of Funkadelic classic "Soul Mate" driven by his trademark vocals and some electric guitar. Watch it below.
