While we wait for Ryan Adams' forthcoming Glyn Johns-produced solo LP , his next official set of previously unreleased material is set to arrive during next Saturday's Record Store Day (4/16) festivities. As previously reported , the double-7" vinyl EP, Class Mythology , features four Cardinology -era cuts recorded by Adams with the Cardinals. On Monday December 14th, The Cardinals lost their bassist Chris "Spacewolf" Feinstein at his Manhattan apartment. The cause of his death is still unknown. Ryan Adams announced his retirement earlier this year, thereby putting The Cardinals on indefinite hiatus. Often announced by Ryan from stage as "A Pro Rock Band", Feinstein and drummer Brad Pemberton were the heartbeat of The Cardinals. I really don't know what to say. From all accounts, Chris was an amazing artist and will be sorely sorely missed. Details are still sketchy.
