The newest effort from the industrial-minimalist trio How to destroy angels_ (Yeah, weird spelling, I know) is due November 13th, but you can listen below, via The Hype Machine . The EP is six tracks of new music from the Nine Inch Nails' frontman - Trent Reznor, his partner-in-crime since 2003 - Atticus Ross, and Reznor's beautiful wife - Mariqueen Maandig. Starting the EP off is the dark, mystical "Keep It Together" . Following is the unique and... well, weird "Ice Age", which goes on for seven minutes with its weird jangly, electronic beat repeated [...]

Who knew there was a symbol for "death metal" in ASL? Damn you, Microsoft! You beat me to the punch. I had Eagles of Death Metal cued up to post here in the next couple of weeks, and then what do you do but feature them on your new Windows 8 commercial before I have a chance to do it! Using cool music as if you were Apple or VW. Huh. Making it seem like you influenced me. Well, see if you spoil my Death Metal party! You won't, I tell you! [...]
Some artists are worth our worship. This week I'm taking at look at the best songs of the Talking Heads! Every so often, I take a moment to celebrate the career of an artist that is truly legendary. Those rarest of musicians whose work stands alone to justify their very own list [...]

Tweet Listen to Arcade Fire 's new song "Abraham's Daughter" below, taken from The Hunger Games soundtrack. When this song dropped last week we were unable to post it because the site was down, but now that we're back to normal store hours we're playing catch-up on everything we missed. "Abraham's Daughter" , the first new piece of music from Arcade Fire [...]
British Electro producer @Rektchordz has released his latest 4 track EP this week which contains tunes that "jump through the electro and tech spectrum". 'Dark Passenger' is a stomper. The bassline drives the track off from the start of the ... Continue reading

The full movie for Spike Jonze and Arcade Fire 's has made it online. It is available to stream on MUBI.com but apparently Americans and Canadian won't be able to view it . A big fan on Youtube has uploaded the full movie. Not sure how long it will be up until the big wigs will take it down. Anyways watch the short film. For your listening enjoyment. [...]
Win and the gang seem to just keep on winning! As if Suburbs wasn't plenty good enough already, we're getting more. In early August the band are to release a deluxe version of the album, with 2 new tracks, and here's one of them! The moody and evocative Speaking in Tongues . For those of you interested in the new version, it will also carry a copy of the Spike Jonze short film Scene's From The Suburbs , extended version of album track Wasted Hours , and also a [...]

Arcade Fire - Culture War by MergeRecords Arcade Fire - Speaking in Tongues (feat. David Byrne) by MergeRecords Shortly after the release of the Suburbs , which was LOVED , Merge is gearing up to put out a deluxe version of the album . I know this practice isn't unorthodox, but I still belong to a camp that believes deluxe versions of albums are better released when we've had 10 or [...]

It's nearly been a whole year since Arcade Fire 's last LP, The Suburbs , was released, so in celebration of this momentous occasion Merge records are releasing a deluxe edition with a whopping two whole extra tracks. I say this with a certain amount of venom and frustration because, in my mind at least, 'deluxe editions' are an irritating scourge on the musical firmament. These kinds of releases are clearly aimed at fans of the band in question, and that's just the trouble: any real fan has already bought the album, so why should they feel compelled to [...]

Tweet I'm guessing you've heard by now that Arcade Fire are re-releasing a deluxe edition of The Suburbs on August 2nd . However you may not have heard two of the new tracks that will be on the re-release; Culture War & Speaking In Tongues . The cynical amongst you will probably think that if the tracks weren't included the first time round they probably aren't worth getting excited about. A fair argument and I admit [...]

Here's a new song from Williamsburg's favorite Canadians. It's exactly that you're expecting. In fact, you may think that you've heard it before; but you haven't. Unless you have. LATER! Speaking in Tongues - Arcade Fire feauring David Byrne

Take a listen to the unreleased new tune from Arcade Fire, which also features David Byrne. The song is called “Speaking in Tongues” and is taken off the deluxe edition of The Suburbs out August 2.

Arcade Fire x David Byrne. No Words. Thanks Sound Verite Arcade Fire - Speaking In Tongues by ListenBeforeYouBuy
Listen to two previously unreleased tracks from the Canadians to mark the launch of The Suburbs' Deluxe CD/DVD Package. I'm yet to make up mind as to the merit of 'Deluxe' albums, however Arcade Fire's is dropping in August and because of that we get 2 spanking new tracks, so it can't all be that bad. Either of these two offerings could slot nicely into 20102s The Suburbs ' original tracklisting, with Culture War sounding like a cynical older brother to the record's title track. Speaking in [...]
Here's a new unreleased track Arcade Fire & David Byrne collab “ Speaking in Tongues ,” This will be a part of their deluxe edition of The Suburbs , out August 2 on Merge.

After Arcade Fire had one of the best years a band could possibly ask for in 2010, they are to have another huge run in 2011. They are planning a re-release deluxe edition of The Suburbs featuring two new songs. “Speaking in Tongues” is the band’s collaberation with David Byrne and is quite dark. “Culture War” is a jumpy, incredibly emotional song and I can’t fathom why this didn’t make the record. Win’s melodies near of the end of the track are breathtaking. As wonderful as The Suburbs was, this would have easily been in my top 3 songs off [...]
In case you had forgotten, it was almost exactly a year ago when Arcade Fire started secretly dropping 12″ vinyl singles in record stores around the world. That was “The Suburbs”/”Month Of May,” and served as the starting point for what would later become the year of Arcade Fire. With the release of The Suburbs , the band began to dominate record sales charts, headline festivals, win Grammys (much to the chagrin of America), and generally rise to a level of fame and accomplishment not often associated with independent artists. Now [...]

Hey, meus jovens! Curtam aí Speaking in Tongues e Culture War. (Eu curti mais a Culture War) See ya! Culture War [...]
