
I know, I have probably written about the release of this album more than any other band/artist/album on this blog... But Spencer Garland's eclectic debut album has finally been released for free download ! Garland blends fresh takes of old folk, americana, and blues with a psychedelic/garage influence on this completely self-recorded, 13 song debut. Yes, that means every instrument you hear on the album is recorded solely by him; that includes: guitars, violin, banjo, harmonica, drums, keys, and assorted percussion. So it has taken a bit longer for this album to get finished. The meticulous Spencer Garland has gone through and re-recorded much of the material for his debut, "Ideas." The album should be open to everyone for download in the up coming week. Until then check out the montage video he made in which he tells the viewer a little about himself and the album.

It's about time I just accepted that life will always be too busy to update this blog as regularly as I would like... A lot of great things, music-wise, have been happening as of late. 2009 is looking like a promising year for music. Possibly (dare I say it?) even more-so than 2008!
