Hightailing away like O.J. Simpson did after he committed one the most heinous acts that a human being could ever be involved in, Trick Folexxx flush the initial verdict of “not guilty” right down those stinky loo pipes and stick two fingers up at all those who hate to play their music loud - plus those who can’t truly enjoy themselves on a night out listening to real electronic dance music. Trick Folexxx elevate their energetic bars high, and keep raising them steadily as the months progress on. [...]

Bassjackers and Quintino have revived Spencer & Hill's chart-topping electro track "Surrender" almost seven months after the original release. Quintino's take, which was first previewed shortly after the original, features progressive leads that drop into melodic synths and pumping kick drums. His Dutch compatriots, the Bassjackers, offer a different take, swapping traditional progressive house stylings for grinding electro stabs and bleeps, reminiscent of Afrojack's sound. Give both remixes a listen and head over to Beatport to pick up your favorite. Purchase: Beatport [...]

David Guetta is probably one of the most interesting artists still heavily involved in the music scene today. On one hand, he's one of the most prominent, longest-standing DJs in the game, getting his start as a seventeen-year-old jockey in Parisian nightclubs. On the other hand, he's the man who brought the world such anthems as "I Gotta Feeling" and "Sexy Bitch," which have become positively ingrained in American pop culture. There's no denying that Guetta's mainstream appeal has led to his exponential rise in popularity for the past number of years, and his ability to attract long-time [...]
David Guetta whipped out a surprising amount of new music in his Electric Zoo set, and one of the new tracks is this bomb from Spencer and Hill called "1234." However, unlike the track of the same name by Laidback Luke, this time the counting is done in Spanish. The signature sound in this enormous track is a pulsating, staccato horn that is a match made in heaven for a festival stage. Don't be fooled by the endorsement behind "1234," as it stood out to be one of the harder tracks in Guetta's main stage set. With "1234," Spencer & [...]

Before I started writing for Salacious Sound I ran a little moombahton-focused blog out of Vancouver called 110BPM. I still wouldn't consider myself an expert in it (or any genre), but one thing I can tell you is that a hell of a lot of it gets pumped through my ear-holes every day. After listening to so much of it I've finally come to realize what it is I love about it: out of all the genres that I know of, its the one that best reflects the artist who produces with it. Since the list of rules about what [...]

Swedish 23-year-old producer Jerry Rekonius has just treated all his fans to a free track via his soundcloud page and it is pure quality as per usual. Staying true to his signature sound, Breaking The Rules features some elaborate build-ups that eventually come crashing down as funky grinding drops of relentless energy. Definitely make sure to grab yourself a copy of this massive electro-house original and keep an eye out for more essential releases from the fast-rising Stockholm native in the future. It's about to get down out in Colorado this weekend! If you don't know what Red Rocks is, and what it's like to see a show there, you're missing out. Not only is the best venue in the nation to see a concert, but it's also one of the most devastating lineups those red rocks have seen. Let's just hope the epic bass doesn't send down a rock slide. Who's playing this incredible evening of dubstep delight? Well...there's Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, Datsik, Downlink, and Dirtyloud. Regardless of how many DJ's are playing that start with a D, [...]

Spencer & Hill are one of those duos that are a household name and can always be counted on for quality tunes. The German duo are also the founders of a label I keep a close eye on, Bazooka Records. "Just Dance Now" is the latest release from Spencer & Hill and LA Riots gives it that harder electro house edge that is music to my ears with growling basslines that rumbles on a big system. Enjoy! Many of us first heard Quintino after his massive work with Sandro Silva late 2011 with their hit Epic which gained support by names such as Kaskade , the Swedish House Mafia and many more. Since then Quintino has been on a mission to prove himself as an independent artist with release like The One And Only , We Gonna Rock and his track Selecta with Afrojack . This time around Qunitino takes on the Spencer & Hill [...]
Quintino's big room productions have only gotten bigger since bursting on the scene with " The One And Only ," and that hot streak continues with his remix of Spencer and Hill's latest single. His spin on "Surrender" features a new vibe that digresses from the Afrojack-influenced sound that we've last heard on " Circuits ," as it exhibits lighter and more melodic chords that conform to the original's vocal. The result scratches the surface of mainstream EDM and is arguably one of Quintino's easiest listens. While unknown if we will ever see an official release of this remix or [...]
Speaking of Spencer & Hill remixes (man do I love this German duo), LA Riots has provided one of the newest S&H tracks "Just Dance Now" with a heavy twist. The original is built up with synths that are very reminiscent of MSTRKRFT and Justice, then packs the drop full of grinding bass and pumping [...]
Our boy Quintino is BACK! Now if you don't remember, we just wrapped a pretty awesome interview with the 'EPIC' producer himself (get it?) where he actually hinted at an inevitable drop of this remix. As another DJ that refuses to be tied down to genre restrictions (see Tommy Trash), Quintino steps up and tackles [...]
Beneath the shadow of the Golden Gate bridge, two San Francisco-based duos teamed up to create what I believe to be one of the best remixes for a Spencer & Hill single to date. SpekrFreks and Relentless rip into the track with very, very upbeat synth rifts and a catchy stop-and-go beat. You'll even hear some light wobbles that cut through the bassline to give the track a somewhat glitchy, dance-to appeal. Maybe I'm a little biased being from that lovely city myself, but I have a feeling you'll be lovin' the track regardless. [...]

Pardon the wait but you'll find it's worth it. If you are unfamiliar with Qulinez, it is time to get familiar. An immense effort from the duo as they take on electro and progressive house from multiple angles and find they are geniuses either way. David Puentez, the man know most for Big Room about a year ago comes back strong with a beauty of a tribute to Norway, Soundprank shows you ambience and Albin Myers does his usual headbanger. SANDER VAN DOORN is fvcking wild with his latest banger! The chords he uses to put out his melodies mimic [...]
