This Jay-Z gem is off the upcoming Great Gatsby soundtrack, which bodes well for the upcoming Baz Luhrmann picture... JAY Z - 100$ Bill by ByTheMinute This one isn't as catchy as many of his hits, but a Louis La Roche release is always news, so here it is. Ruckus Roboticus - The Phantom's Theme (Louis La Roche Remix) by Louis La Roche
RAC's take on Pheonix's "Trying to be cool" is predictably catchy. RAC doesn't seem to stray much from his sound, but if it ain't broke... Phoenix - Trying To Be Cool (RAC Mix) by RAC

This one is a fantastic edit of Daft Punk - normally these are a dime a dozen, but Vanderway has hit on something here. Daft Punk - Random Access Memories (Vanderway Edit) by L'ordre This slow instrumental hip-hop track is drawn from Kendrick Lamar's "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe." BDKMV Refix feat. The Clubcasa Chamber Orchestra by IAMNOBODI [Official] Myron and E mix a Marvin Gaye Motown vibe with a [...]

Today's mix is more downtempo and should help you get into a good warm weather groove. My personal favorite is Kyogi's remix of "Valentine." We're saving the best for last. We'll start off with some reggae. Dub Club's latest lends a great groove. Dub Club - Beware Dub by Stones Throw Records The best part of this mashup is Jhameel - the graduated-in-2-years-from-UC-B erkeley-with-a-degree-in-arabi c-second-coming-of-MJ artist. Jhameel x DWNTWN x Giraffage - Move Me by DWNTWN [...]

Yeah, it's not the most original title. But this week, that's far from the most important thing on our minds. Here's to sun, warmth, and a May full of revelry to celebrate the death of this long, long, winter. Good riddance, and here's our first four tracks to start the party. Daughter - Get Lucky (Daft Punk Cover) by Ace Magazine World In Our Hands (The Two Friends Remix) [Radio Edit] - Quintino & Alvaro by The Two [...]

Oh wow guys, Brooklyn’s Sharpless might have just released the catchiest single of the year. I know I might sound like I say that alot, but seriously take a listen to “Summer 2012 (~*~SPRING FLING VERSION~*~)”. Joyous group vocals, sprightly melodies and an over abundance of sunshine hooks, give us motive for having the best time humanely possible. So as you enter your Spring Break, fuck Skrillex and just make a one song playlist with this on repeat on forever. Summer 2012 (~*~SPRING FLING VERSION~*~) by Sharpless

Tiesto went on a little College Tour last year, but it looks like he's not done with beer pong and sorority girls just yet. According to people familiar with the matter, we can exclusively confirm that Tiesto will be playing a show at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field as part of the school's annual Spring Fling concert. The show will take place on Friday April 13th at the historic Franklin Field , a venue that used to be home to the Philadelphia Eagles back in the day. The show won't be as large as Tiesto's [...]

Tweet One of the advantages of running my own blog, (with the help of P&B’s many contributors of course), is the fact that I can basically put on whatever the hell I want. This weekend is my alma mater’s (damn it feels strange to say that) Spring Fling aka UPenn’s annual weekend of debauchery and shitfacedness. In honor of Fling, I want to dedicate [...]
World Cafe Live sees if it's a fit for a Queen: One gray afternoon last week, a mural depicting four musicians with connections to Delaware's principal city - trumpeter Clifford Brown, guitarist David Bromberg, reggae icon Bob Marley, and bandleader Cab Calloway - urged Wilmingtonians to "celebrate the music and soul of our city." Amid the Market Street mix of tech-company start-ups and shut-down storefronts, hopeful clothing boutiques and pawnshops, there weren't enough pedestrians to initiate even the most meager of celebrations. (In The Mix) Lupe Fiasco to headline at UPenn's [...]

Head out to Mercy Lounge tonight for the Spring Fling edition of 8 off 8th. Tonight's lineup will offer a mixture of folk/Americana with some garage rock/blues, so it's highly unlikely that you aren't going to like at least one of the bands playing. And chances are, you'll be able to hear some of the Cold War Kids set seeping out of Cannery Ballroom, so why wouldn't you take your chances? Below is the order of the artist lineup: Neil O'Neil Jacob Jones Buffalo Clover Shane Tutmarc The [...]

Gregg Gillis, aka Girl Talk, has been known to frequently perform on college campuses and take over the college music scene. In fact, he got his start performing shows on the weekends while still a student at Case Western Reserve University. He eventually went on to graduate, and get a job as an engineer before quitting in 2007 to concentrate on music full time. Just last month, he was one of three big artists who performed at Yale's annual Spring Fling festival (the other two being N.E.R.D. and Wale). As expected, Girl Talk got the crowd [...]
