Every so often last year, I visited Ace Reporter's website to check in on his ThreeSixFive Project — the Brooklyn songwriter's seemingly crazy scheme to record a song a day for an entire year. I half-expected the man born Chris Snyder to call in sick one day, or make an excuse, or bow out gracefully. But the frontman of the States not only made it to the end, releasing some 15 hours of music, but fashioned more hits than misses. After having such a long and slavering day at work this song puts me in a great mood. Its soothing and energetic at a healthy level.. haha what ever that means. In this case, from the ashes of Lydia and Copeland rises States , featuring Mindy White and brothers Bryan and Stephen Laurenson. It's easy to see how the beautiful music made by both of States' alma maters has given rise to this new project, even if it sounds strikingly similar to Eisley .
