Stones Throw Records' Dam Funk is a refreshing dose of G-funk. I love the sounds this dude weaves together. It's so damn funky. How do you classify it? I'd classify it as '64 Impala low-riding with an amazing gangster coif and an OE 40 oz(among other things) music. It's fonkyyyyyyyyyyyy. "Mos Def & Talib Kwelik are Black Star" dropped in August 1998 and two young Brooklyn rappers became figureheads of the "conscious emcee" movement. Whatever that means.
