In honor of Father's Day, Mayer Hawthorne paid tribute to his own pops with a new song called "Reach Out Richard." Speaking to Entertainment Weekly , he said: With Father's Day coming up, I wanted to share a special song about my father. This was the hardest song I've ever had to write. I still tear up sometimes just thinking about it. Thanks to Pharrell for pushing me to get the whole story out. Love you, Dad. I'll find my way eventually." [...]
As we eagerly await some new tunes from A.Dd+ , the Dallas duo team up with DJ Burn One for the blunted "Where You Been". With a laid back, minimalist production, Slim Gravy and Paris Pershun showcase their seemingly endless rapping talents yet again. And, of course, "Where You Been" yet again reminds us of how reminiscent A.Dd+'s dynamic is to that of Outkast. Stream "Where You Been" below.

If there's one thing the Flatbush Zombies have made clear, it's that they love weed. A lot. I mean, did you see their infamous " Thug Waffle " video? Anyway, they're showing some more love to that sticky icky on "Palm Trees", which finds them dodging any shade coming their way by, well, palming trees. Get it? I know some of y'all aren't too keen on weed raps, but Flatbush Zombies' Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice and Erick Arc Elliott bring a new vision to the rap sub-genre. They're blunted, sure, but they're also introspective. I'm especially diggin' Erick's [...]

"You Can't See Me" is a new track by the collaboration of Milwaukee's Kiings , comprised of Chris Siegel and Sean Foran, and Brooklyn singer Christine Hoberg . As of now, it is a one off song available to buy here at their bandcamp , but we are hoping that this could lead to some more music from them. Hoberg's captivating vocals are mixed with perfect production from Kiings that don't overwhelm, but accentuate them even further. Stream it below.
On Immunity , electronic music producer Jon Hopkins focuses in on the worlds of house and techno, fusing the characteristics of these genres with some pretty atmospheric and grandiose keyboards. WATCH THE REVIEW
Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire's Kismet is definitely a bounce back from the New York rapper's last project, which was a little too inconsistent. He brings plenty of topical tracks with grimy beats on this thing. His deep, somewhat goofy voice adds some character to these tracks, too. WATCH THE REVIEW

Denver thrash metal outfit and Megadeth worshippers Havok have a new album on the way titled Unnatural Selection , and "Give me Liberty... Or Give Me Death" is one of the album's lead singles. The band and their label has dropped a new lyric video for the track, and it's pretty fitting given all of the NSA talk that's been in the news as of late. Look for this new album on June 25th via Candlelight, and check a review for the band's last album below:

A curiously deviant strain of techno known as “ Negative Rave ” has reared its sickly head in South Florida - and Miami-based artist Brad Lovett is dominating the scene with his one-man soundscape breakdown, Dim Past . He’s been enchanting club-goers for some time with his array of defunct electronic gizmos (that’s right – no computers), but on July 2nd Florida-based label Other Electricities will release his very first EP, Black Dolphin . This mix of dense, organic tunes merge house beats and techno style with raw currants of reverberating sounds, [...]
Not too long ago we brought you a tune from Alphabetical Order Orchestra , the band who has sprung out of the hiatus of My Latest Novel . That tune offered a glimpse of the band's blend between folk and pop, but this new tune is much more simple, though equally as beautiful. There's light bits of percussion, though the song revolves around the acoustic guitar strumming and the vocal delivery. But, just as you think the whole tune will remain on one level, the drums begin to bang, backing vocals unite, all before [...]

A-Trak drops some awesomely edited visuals for the track "JUMBO," which was one of several cuts on his recent Tuna Melt EP . Enjoy!

I've been waiting on new material from U.K. singer Rainy Milo since she dropped her Limey EP in the fall of 2012. Her following has grown steadily in the following months, which is only fitting considering the promise she shows at the young age of 17. This is also evident on her latest single, "Deal Me Briefly", a beautifully produced cut that hopefully means Rainy has a new project on the horizon. And if she does, she should secure more collaborations with Chet Faker who, alongside Daje, provides the backing music here. [...]
Gesus by YBP A new collection of tracks from the previously mentioned Black Jungle Squad . Brainfeeder's Jeremiah Jae, a.k.a. Black Daffi, still delivers the production and most of the rap verses that you'll come across on this thing, Gesus sees the involvement on Tre on a great deal of these tracks, too. Even though Gesus does come with a slight lineup change, the very understated, slow, and breezy vibe remains. It's not a hip hop sound that always grips me, but when I'm in the mood for it, [...]
