If this doesn't make you excited for St. Vincent's new album in a few weeks and tour stop in Phoenix on Oct 20th, then you are probably dead inside and also probably don't like St. Vincent. You are entitled to your own opinion but you are also dead to me. On the other hand I guess there is the slight possibility that you were already at your maximum care giving levels already, in that case I apologize about the being dead to me comments.... 1000 pardons.

"Surgeon" is our first look into the highly anticipated new album Strange Mercy from indie darling St. Vincent. The track couldn't be more appropriate for a lazy week's end- filled with hazy synths, warm strings, and Annie Clark's honey-dipped vocals. In typical St. Vincent fashion, the song really comes alive when you take a second look at all of the intricacies beneath its easy-to-love surface.
