Featuring a collaboration song with Joanna Newsom , "Kindness Be Conceived", the album is catchy but surprising - Thao can easily move from sweetness to roaring in a jump and a skip. David Byrne e St.Vincent ainda estão divulgando o álbum que gravaram juntos e ontem eles foram a atração musical do The Late Show With David Letterman.
Now this shit is certainly amazing ! The DAVID BYRNE and the ST VINCENT performing on David Letterman. You should watch ! I SHOULD WATCH TV .

One of our favorite albums of 2012 was the collaborative effort between David Byrne and St. Vincent dubbed "Love This Giant." Not only did the pair put together a wonderful album, but they enlisted a badass band to back them on a lengthy tour and worked all sorts of choreography into the mix. Thanks to NPR Music, we've got a professionally shot taste of said tour. Filmed this past September at the Strathmore Music Hall in Bethesda, Maryland, Byrne and St. Vincent run through a collection of tunes from the [...]

Yep, David Byrne and St. Vincent are still a thing; that is, they continue supporting last year's collaborative album, Love this Giant . Last night, the two New Yorkers cabbed it over to The Late Show with David Letterman , where they performed arguably the strongest cut off the album, "I Should Watch TV". The always quirky Byrne anticipated the performance earlier Monday morning in a newsletter to his fans, in which he wrote: "The meaning and significance of doing that song on TV is making my head go [...]

David Byrne & St. Vincent will be the musical guests on "Late Show with David Letterman" (CBS, 10:35pm CST) tonight, playing music from their collaborative album, Love This Giant . The duo were previously scheduled for Letterman on October 30, 2012, the night after Superstorm Sandy hit the east coast. Melissa McCarthy and David Morrissey will also be guests on the show.

Good morning! Hope your week has improved as much as mine has. We have three stellar tracks to share today from St Tropez, Blind Architect, and the new Josh Mease project, Lapland. St Tropez - "In Pictures" Single out now on Bandcamp This San Francisco-based quartet just released my new 'jam'. On their best single to date, St Tropez's "In Pictures" moves from listless melancholy to jubilant explosion. [...]

Artwork by Francesca Bonifacio Yesterday, we unveiled your picks for our 2012 Reader's Poll , and today we're continuing our year-end coverage by revealing our Honorable Mentions. 2012 was a great year for music, and it was tough to only choose 31 albums, so we made sure to include some picks that we enjoyed but didn't quite make it on our list . Be sure to come back to the site everyday for the rest of the week to see our Best EPs and Best Songs of 2012, along with our personal picks [...]

A few weeks ago, some believed that the Mayan Long Count Calendar would represent an end to the human race, with large beastly demigods destroying the planet Earth and its inhabitants. Thankfully, not true. However, what if the end was nigh? Would you have been pleased that the songs of 2012 made you dance with joy before being eaten by Quetzalcoatl? Would you kick rocks and wait impatiently for doom knowing that you would never-ever have to listen to Mumford and Sons one more time? Or would you moon over the albums that you would miss in 2013 as the [...]

Clif's top ten list for 2012 with twenty others receiving honorable mention: 10. Cat Meat – Cat Meat We previewed Cat Meat’s self-titled debut as a Friday Free Feature on November 9, and it’s been in constant rotation between my iPod and car stereo. A complex, experimental alt. country/folk album that claims influences such as Wilco, Sparklehorse and Califone; the classic psychedelic experimenalist, Captain Beefheart; and the legendary bluesmen Mississippi John Hurt and Blind Willie McTell. When you listen, they’re all there in subtle drips, drabs and dollops. [...]
2012...what a year of music. We got new releases from favorites such as Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, Grizzly Bear and heard new favorites in Father John Misty, Nude Beach, Tanlines, and more. Last year Earbuddy celebrated one year of existence with the best 50 albums of 2011 . However, we've grown since [...]

A couple of weeks back, we took a look at the best books that various Flavorpill staffers had read over the course of the year, and today we're repeating the exercise with albums — we've surveyed our highly trained staff and asked them what the best record they heard in 2012 was. The results, we hope you'll agree, are rather interesting, encompassing everything from Ke$ha and Swans to a hitherto undiscovered fondness for obscure country reissues. Do feel free, of course, to add your voice to the discussion in the comments section! [...]
As I looked over my playlists from the year 2012, I have tried to only add the songs that either charge me up or songs that seem to find a way to my heart and soul. Here are my favorites for 2012. I couldn’t possibly rank them, so they are simply listed in the order that they were released. Editor's Note: The majority of the songs are in a playlist at the bottom of the post page. Cloud Nothings - "Stay Useless" This song reminds me of that awkward wonky [...]
Filed under: News , Exclusive Amazon Just like our picks for the 50 Best Albums of 2012 , the editors of Spinner and AOL Music put our minds together, tallied our votes, demanded recounts and came up with this list of the best songs of the year. We debated, we disagreed, we came up with our collective best 50 albums of 2012.
Another year, another great crop of songs. Some of you might be surprised to see a handful of radio smash hits on here, but I'd be lying to myself and you if I didn't include them in a list of my favorite songs of 2012. There's a Spotify playlist (with a few extra songs) to [...]

So this is it. Whilst John Lewis, and Nigella Lawson, and all those other odious household bods and sods build up to Sufjan Stevens' excessively beloved time of the season , here's us stealing their mistletoe and smooching with your attention. Right? Below be ten veritably bulging gifts from we to you. There: have at 'em. Early Christmas pressies. Free of charge. Or that's at least 'til the BMI enforce the absurd licensing regulations long since menaced, when we'll henceforth trawl the annals of our analytics and embark upon a marathon knock-a-door dressed as Mr. C circa Sycophant Slags, [...]
