The Pacific Northwest Festival we've all been waiting for has just announced a killer lineup! Sasquatch takes place at the Gorge on May 25th - 28th.
The annual Sasquatch festival, definitely a festival that I need to attend in the very near future, announced a killer line up for this year's installment. Recently solo Jack White, along with Beck and Bon Iver, will be headlining the George, WA based three-day event. There are certain years which can truly be remembered as 'a good year for music'. 2011 has not been a dissapointment, providing us with some memorable debuts, career-saving come-backs and some pretty special break-through albums. Ok, it's finally time for me to make this list. It seems like I out-waited everyone...because this list is obviously the most important. 2011 was a good year for music - not as good as a phenomenal 2010, but still, pretty damn good, with some stone-cold classics for the ages. The best albums are much more than a collection of stand out songs. Like anything successful, a great album finds multiple parts coming together as one; accomplishing moods, textures, and developments not possible by any one singular piece. The best albums force you to take a step back, to not only look at each moment but to examine how that moment fits into a larger picture.
