What a week. Since Monday, the mp3 world has seen the glorious return of a bona fide classic band, the first single off one of the biggest MCs in the world’s forthcoming album, a heartfelt lament by a Big Apple rap legend, an angelic monolith from one of the UK’s favorite pop princesses, and much more. To find out what and whom we’re talking about, look no further. The Beach Boys – “That’s Why God Made the Radio” The first single off the Beach Boys’ reunion [...]
With their first Coachella 2012 performances a not-quite-distant memory, over the weekend some artists engaged in live collaborations to make for unique experiences in their second fest go-around. John Fogerty joined the Black Keys , Annie Clark of St. Vincent sang with Andrew Bird, and Thom Yorke came out during Modeselektor's set to perform "Shipwreck." The spine tingling magical moment of the weekend was during Radiohead at the end of "Karma Police" when the crowd continued to sing "I Lost Myself" after the band had stopped.

So here it is...in no real particular order, my best albums of 2011 list. It was definitely a great year for music. As you might be able to tell by our lack of posting, we were hard at work over the holidays putting together our end of the year lists. Today is the first of three lists - our Best Albums of 2009 list. So in no particular order, we present them to you: The Antlers - Hospice This intensely beautiful, heart-wrenching album is full of more tragedy than we would hope any one person would
We've seen an unprecedented year of new music in 2009. There's been enough diversity to satisfy practically anyone's music tastes. It'll be interesting to see what trends emerge next year. Before we leave 2009 for good, we wanted to recap of our top rated album releases and close out the year with our top 100 songs. [...]

Albums of 2009: 75-51 | 50-41 | 40-31 | 30-21 | 20-1 [...]
