Here is the official video for 'Down In The Valley' from The Head and the Heart. The song comes from the bands self-titled debut album that was released in 2011 via Sub Pop . This song has been a favorite of mine for a while now as it has been floating around for a couple of years. The song and video are both filled with Americana references and the melody throughout is just incredible.

And it's animal joyous...whatever that might mean.

Earlier this week, ex-Fleet Foxes drummer and longtime singer-songwriter J. Tillman announced the details of his latest project Fear Fun , which will be released under the name Father John Misty, as opposed to his previous solo releases. A video for the first single "Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings" featuring Aubrey Plaza came attached with the announcement. Directed by Noel Paul, the video follows Plaza's character as she proceeds to trash a funeral and wander out in to the wilderness, before being captured by Tillman and summarily thrown in his van. We love Shabazz Palaces , so anything they cosign we are sure to get down with. So when their Seattle homies known as THEESatisfaction dropped off their new single, "QueenS", we were all ears. Off their upcoming album awE NaturalE , this grooving track takes me back to the days when neo-soul conquered. THEESatisfaction becomes the third hip-hop related act to sign to Sub Pop, as the indie labels continue to expand into new genres. awE NaturalE will be available March 27 via Sub Pop . Speaking of Fleet Foxes members and Sub Pop , Sub Pop also announced the signing of Poor Moon , a band with Fleet Foxes members Christian Wargo and Casey Wescott and The Christmas Cards members/brothers Ian and Peter Muray.
