Earlier this year we, like others, noted how Las Vegas has started to morph into an American Ibiza - a mecca for DJs to be treated like kings and play in megaclubs on the scale only Las Vegas can provide. Even David Guetta said that "there is a new energy here that I really, really love." With single clubs boasting 20 or 30 resident DJs, it is hard to disappoint almost any electronic fan. This footage from the Wynn Resorts is a testament to how much the scene has grown and features video from Encore Beach Club, Tryst, [...]
It’s a meeting of La Bombe heavyweights! While your waiting for Turkish producer Surrender! ’s self-titled début album (and you probably are after reading out interview with the man here ) keep the faith with this reMix from London's noisiest funkster Blende . You just know this is going to be in -your-face Disco. And true to form Blende taken on the French at their own game. His reMix of S*M*A*S*H rides high on the combination of digital slap bass, piercing synths and acerbic production. The result is kind of like [...]

Awesome remix by Blende , don't miss it!

By now Turkish producer Surrender! should be on your Nu-Disco radar. He’s one of those artists that, rather than making a massive splash, has slowly and surely entered our consciousness over the last year to the point where the announcement of his self-titled début album, due out September on La Bombe , was exciting stuff. And this 23 year-old, despite only a handful of releases to his name, is already earning himself fans in the form of some of electronic music’s top names. Aeroplane, A-Trak, Villa, Treasure Fingers and Digitalism have all become regular spinners [...]
Para empezar a hablar de Surrender! tendríamos primero que empezar a hablar de Opptimo, y para que todo tenga sentido deberíamos empezar hablando de La Bombe. Así que vayamos por [....]

If Surrender! isn't on your radar by now then you need to jump on board immediately. Formerly known as Opptimo, this 23 year old Turkish producer has seized our attention with fantastic and long lasting productions like Locate and Conflicted (I end up singing the lyrics from George Michael's Last Christmas to this every time, dont' know why but someone make a mash of this for me please). Never a lull in his performance, his latest double single extended play is a must-have. Volute is quite a futuristic [...]

Ulas Koca is a 23-year-old dance music producer based in Istanbul. His work under the alias Surrender! has turned the heads of modern disco pioneers like Aeroplane, A-Trak, Villa, Treasure Fingers and Digitalism, who featured the Sharooz remix of Surrender!'s "Travellers" single in their recent DJ-Kicks mix. Featured bellow are two singles off the new Volute EP: The title track is comprised of dark and moody arpeggiating italo-pop. "Fast Days" is piano-driven funk with a [...]
Turkish disco producer Surrender! is a name that you should be keeping an eye on, signed to fledgling label La Bombe his latest EP is an exciting blend of classic drum-machined house, vintage European soundtrack obscurity and feel good nu-disco. Combining soaring brass hooks and elements of piano house 'Fast Days' is everything we look for in up-beat disco track - there are, of course, shades of more esoteric influences, but they never get in the way of what is a spectacular hook and back beat. 'Volute' is a darker, less obvious, [...]
Up and coming Australian Producer Anthony Maniscalco, known better as Hook N Sling, has just released his newest single "Surrender", a promising big room tune. Melodic in every sense of the word, "Surrender" transitions catchy piano keys into uplifting synths beautifully, delivering that quintessential progressive build up. Cementing the track's drop are powerful vocals from Jon Hume, lead singer of Evermore. The fellow countryman's indie rock background gives the obvious house tune a more edger feel. Something we've seen work well as of late, think Dirty South and the Unusual Suspects or Alesso and Keane. Up next for Hook N Sling is [...]

Surrender! Or at the very least give in to this corking peice of Italo synth disco from Turkey. Volute is a brilliant bit of thumping Moroder-style synth work. And Volute means 'scroll' for whatever that adds to your enjoyment. B side, Fast Days starts as a piano-led tune before breaking out the triumphant 'happy' synths. If you told me this was by The 14th Minute I'd believe you. Perhaps even better than the A side. Out 2 July. Blurb: Hailing from Istanbul, Turkey, 23 year old Surrender! has made an [...]
Turkish producer Surrender! is about to drop a brand new single in advance of his forthcoming album. Coming out next month on the consistently Funky La Bombe , ‘Volute’ and it’s B-Side ‘Fast Days’, show off two different facets of Surrender!’s infectious groove. ‘Volute’ is a twisting, cosmic, number. With heavy, pulsating, Funk foundations a spacey mixture of Italo and Cosmic Disco play around the track, arpeggios flying, to create something that is both dancefloor addictive and space-age atmospheric at the same time. The flip side, ‘Fast Days’ breaks out the House piano and some [...]
Surrender! is a 23 year old producer from Istanbul, Turkey and I only just realised I already blogged about him! He totally got me hooked with his "Optimo EP" and now he's back with an upcoming single which is part of his debut album coming this summer! The single is called Volute, a strong spacy electro track which reminds me a bit of productions by Danger, very addictive again! On the B-side you'll find "Fast Days" a more up-lifting disco track. Have a listen to both tracks and pick it up on Beatport the 2nd July. Release by [...]

Hailing from Istanbul, Turkey, 23 year old Surrender! has made an extraordinary impact in his short career to date. Heralded by numerous blogs for his fresh-faced, unabashed brand of disco nouveau, with his debut single ' Locate ' topping the Hype Machine chart, the idiosyncratic funk of Phonat's mix of ' Travellers ' reaching the top 10 on Beatport's Indie-Dance/Nu Disco chart, or his ode to vintage northern soul, ' Conflicted ' [...]

A few days ago our good friends at Our House Records wrote a great post on some of the fantastic dance albums we've seen and can expect out of 2012. Well here's one more to add to that list. Surrender! is a Turkish producer who has been making some serious noise in the nu-disco genre this year. His productions are funky and 80s influenced. It's like Justice meets Poolside - heavy summertime electro-pop. The track we have for you is the newest single off his forthcoming album. The album will be released in August of this year [...]

L as Vegas was transformed into a metropolis of dance music last week leading up to Electric Daisy Carnival. Between edmbiz and the coining of "EDC Week" by Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, the city was in full swing with events from Tuesday to Monday where you good find different variations of house music from the world's top electronic artists. EDC was supported by official EDC Week events at TAO, LAVO and Marquee nightclubs and day clubs with the likes of Kaskade, Nicky Romero and Armin Van Buuren, along with a series of darker events at Drai's featuring [...]

Last year's event was an enormous success on many levels, and this year's edition is poised to reach even greater heights. While the festival itself runs 3 nights from Friday June 8th to Sunday June 10th, a dizzying selection of EDM artists will be playing daytime and nighttime parties all over Las Vegas during the Insomniac-sponsored "EDC Week". Our Friend, Surrender is a two-piece instrumental band out of Minnesota and Virginia that strikes me as...different. What I'm used to hearing from two-pieces are tons of looping à la Time Columns and a more fast-paced sound. Where these guys differ is that they actually try to tackle the extremely difficult challenge of making a more traditional, atmospheric post-rock sound. For that, much credit it due. The Deceiver & The Chariot has a burst of energy right out of the gates, honestly very impressive for a two piece. The layering is done very well, although the first [...]
Our boy Quintino is BACK! Now if you don't remember, we just wrapped a pretty awesome interview with the 'EPIC' producer himself (get it?) where he actually hinted at an inevitable drop of this remix. As another DJ that refuses to be tied down to genre restrictions (see Tommy Trash), Quintino steps up and tackles [...]

La Bombe Recordings from out of sometimes rainy n’ sometimes sunny London, get their candles & birthday hats out this week as celebrations are in full effect due to their second anniversary of the label, plus combining things with a 10-track compilation featuring 5 new tracks & 5 retrospective Saturday Night Delights from its existing back catalogue. Working away as a shining beacon of light and all the excitement surrounding long worded sentences, these La Bombe Records staples are the touchy, feely senses with more drive & right mindedness than certain fictional characters [...]
