Banana Beach is an experimental pop quintet out of Stockholm, Sweden, just done independently recording their debut EP titled 'Window Licking' in an office on an abandoned floor inside a factory complex, situated in the industrial southern suburbs of the Swedish capital. Rarely, if ever, has a movie's soundtrack come to characterize a subgenre as much as Drive 's has. Any artist looking to make a name in balearic dream pop has to meet the standards of this collection, namely College's defining piece, "A Real Hero (Ft. Electric Youth)." Sweden's Postiljonen would have no problem breaking into the Drive club, especially with their latest track "On The Run." The synths and airy vocals are all there, so much so that "On The Run" sounds better suited for the films we see in our sleep than a Gosling motorcycle flick. [...]
