By Michel Dussack and Emilia D'Albero On January 29th, a varied rock tour featuring four distinctive bands came to New York to play a sold out show at The Studio at Webster Hall. These four bands were the post-hardcore English band 'We Are The Ocean', the alt-rock Scottish band 'Twin Atlantic', the pop punk Michigan based band 'The Swellers', and a band from England that encompasses a bit of all three of these styles, 'You Me At Six'. Because of ...
Jonathan Diener of The Swellers would prefer you not believe everything you read on the Internet. After his brother Nick posted a Facebook note about a new band, rumors swirled that the band had broken up, or at least gone on hiatus. This is not the case, nor is Nick's new band an actual band. Says Jono : Some of you may have seen everything getting posted about my brother, Nick's new band Strange Hawks. Things seem to be getting way out of hand. Why? Because not only is the band NOT REAL, [...]

Not even rain could stop people from coming to the 2011 AP Fall Tour.

Here is the thrilling conclusion to Political Punishment , widely recognized as the best movie ever. And, here is a bonus Q&A with Anto Boros and Derek Perry.

I really should have posted about this days ago, but honestly, I'm a terrible journalist. This is the best movie I have seen in 2011 and possibly ever. Directed by Anto Boros of The Swellers and featuring Fake Problems * as well as Into It. Over It. , this is a cinematic masterpiece wrought with drama and passion. Laugh and cry along with this all star cast in Political Punishment . *official favorite band [...]

The Swellers Pack On the Nostalgia The Swellers' fourth album Good For Me makes a splash in the punk rock genre, providing fans with a new take on nostalgia. The follow up to their earlier Ups and Downsizing is proving to be quite a hit with fans even though the band veered towards a slower pace. "Runaways" sets the tone for the album with a catchy chorus and heavy guitar sounds. The tracks to follow, however, somehow all end up sounding the same. Perhaps for die-hard fans this doesn't pose as a problem considering [...]

So, what else is on the calendar? Philadelphia-based "punk-drenched chamber-folk" collective Paper Masques —which will go [...]
