I am heading back to SXSW this year, after two years off.  Pumped.  I'm also on a panel about the work I do at Bearsuit .   Should be an eventful week.   But, the reason why I made this post was to point you towards this handy guide DO512 has put together. Basically, its a list/schedule of all the bands that I've written on my site that are playing SXSW this year.  Play around with it, stream some new bands and make your own schedule. South by Southwest is many things to many people. For some it's a great way to catch up on bands they wouldn't normally get to see and for others, a place to meet and do business. I hope you're ready for a poptastic indie rock jam because Vancouver's Yukon Blonde is bringing forth the catchy awesomeness in the form of their single, "Stairway" from their upcoming full length release Tiger Talk , which is set for a March 20th release. Brooklyn synth-poppers Class Actress  just released the beautiful new video for “Bienvenue”.  The second clip from the critically praised debut album  Rapprocher  (out now via Carpark Records ) was shot on location in Paris this past December and was directed by Clement Gino and Gregory Faure. Less than two days after her deeply divisive debut SNL performance , word comes that Lana Del Rey is heading into the belly of the beast: she's been added to the SXSW 2012 lineup, which means the dusky Born To Die singer will perform for many of the tastemakers, music bloggers, advertisers and industry folk who have slammed her privately and publicly.
