Seeing as winter is close at hand here in the Northern Hemisphere, I feel it is high time to talk about an album that was dropped at the beginning of summer. We're approaching year 15 of Metric, and in that time Emily Haines and company have matured from Canadian soft-rockers with a taste for synthesizers to stadium-calibre headliners. 20092s  Fantasies  provided the acme of their rise, with a non-stop barrage of radio-ready jams that were capped off by the too-apt "Stadium Love." And now we have  Synthetica , the first taste of 'made it' Metric. The singles here ("Youth Without Youth" and "Speed the Collapse") follow the model laid out on  Fantasies : big, bombastic pop tracks mastered for speaker stacks. De su reciente quinto álbum Synthetica , se desprende “ Breathing Underwater ”, y Metric nos presenta desde ayer el video para la misma, formado con material de distintas presentaciones del reciente tour de esta banda canadiense. Synthetica será re lanzado en versión deluxe con un bonus que incluye un cover a la canción “ Strange Weather ” de Tom Waits .

O  Metric lançou ontem o clipe de  Breathing Underwater , single do mais recente álbum dos canadense,  Synthetica . Compilando imagens da banda ao vivo e de sua preparação para subir ao palco, o vídeo soa como uma homenagem aos fãs, principalmente nas cenas finais, nas quais os integrantes do  Metric aparecem agradecendo o público de seus sempre lotados shows. O álbum  Synthetica é o quinto da carreira da banda canadense, lançado em junho deste ano, e até ganhou um documentário .

Dividido em quatro episódios, o registro capta a intensa jornada em estúdio, bastidores da gravação, entrevistas e até momentos de descanso dos canadenses. Tuesday night, Metric announced the Synthetica mini-documentary by posting a trailer in a Facebook post and Tweet, but yesterday, The A.V. Club has posted the first of four episodes that comprise the ultimate behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Metric's fifth full-length studio album, Synthetica.
