This past Thursday, Dec. 1, 96X hosted Winter Meltdown at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Va. The lineup consisted of Days Difference, Young the Giant, Taking Back Sunday, Sleeper Agent, Foster the People, Grouplove, Cage the Elephant, Cake, The Naked and Famous, and Bush. The Center itself was very similar to the RBC Center. The bands were separated between two stages; the main one was on the coliseum floor and the other was in one of the larger rooms of to the side. Opening up on the smaller stage was Days Difference , a local [...]

This year I delved through nearly every album I listened to in 2011 to pick out my personal cream of the crop. This is probably my most comprehensive list of "best of" songs I've done for BWC thus far...Hope you guys enjoy. The top albums of the year should follow shortly! If there are any mislabeled, mis-tagged links, let me know and I'll get it fixed. I wouldn't be surprised if I muddled through a few misclicks or something trying to copy and paste everything over Tim Kasher // [...]

Commercial radio stations that have a modern alternative format are hard to find - and those that put on good winter concerts are even harder to find. 96X is a modern alternative radio station based out of Norfolk, VA . The station will be putting on " Winter Meltdown ," featuring Bush , Foster the People , Cake , Cage the Elephant , Taking Back Sunday , The Naked and Famous , Young the Giant , Sleeper Agent , and Grouplove . Taking Back Sunday have begun writing their next album. Drummer Mark O'connell made the announcement via Twitter saying: Writing some great songs with Shaun Cooper, Reyes, Adam Lazzara and John Nolan! Back to work! The band released Taking Back Sunday to positive reviews including our own.
Taking Back Sunday's new video for "You Got Me" features guitarist Eddie Reyes giving an entertaining 3 minute performance of some epic white boy dancing. Pretty straight forward affair here guys, I'm just glad they dropped that ridiculously stupid gimmicky cat they had on the "Faith" video. MP3 // YOU GOT ME
Taking Back Sunday Pop's Nightclub October 8, 2011 Adam Lazzara has always smiled more than any of his peers. But this is different. He's ambling the stage at Pop's, shouting his lyrics like ... Continue reading "Taking Back Sunday At Pop's, 10/9/11: Review, Photos, Setlist" >

Taking Back Sunday have announced three new dates set for the end of the year.
Ever since the birth of the internet, it has become a grueling and laborious task to break through the clutter in the music industry. This, however, has never discouraged the guys in Night Fevers . Since day 1, their work ethic has been strong and they've stayed optimistic, hustling and waiting for their big break. It's only a matter of time for the band. Could their time be now? They're finalists (top 10 in the country) in Charter's Center Stage Contest this year and have the chance to take home $25,000 and an opening spot for [...]
The heavens were open. The ground was softening. It looked to be another washout festival for me and my poor £10 wellies! My spirits would not be dampened (soaked) though. There were bands to be seen at Leeds 2011 , and cider to be drunk out of silly paper cups. First on my list was American band Taking Back Sunday. Don't ask me why! The veteran pop-punkers have been here before, on this very spot at the very same time, hardly a fact that Taking Back [...]

Taking Back Sunday will be headed out on a headlining tour this October with support from Warner Music Group labelmates The Maine and (what I presume are Watership Down fans) Bad Rabbits .
TAKING BACK SUNDAY ANNOUNCE NATIONWIDE HEADLINING FALL TOUR NEW ALBUM 'TAKING BACK SUNDAY' OUT NOW Fresh from an almost completely sold-out summer tour, Taking Back Sunday will return to the road for a nationwide headlining run this fall. The string of dates, which take the band to towns they haven't yet visited on this album, kick off October 1 in Pharr, Texas. Arizona five-piece and Warner Bros Records label mates The Maine will support, along with Bad Rabbits. Taking Back Sunday is touring in support of their self-titled new album, which is in stores [...]
Watch Taking Back Sunday's Adam Lazzara and John Nolan perform a folksy rendition of Kanye West's 'Can't Tell Me Nothing.'
not a fan of the TAKING BACK SUNDAY , apart from their semi-handsome looks, butt their recent cover of the KANYE's CAN'T TELL ME NOTHING mp3 is pretty much worth embracing. wotyougot
For the second time since we became aware of the program's existence, a band has covered Kanye West on Billboard's Mashup Mondays, this time Taking Back Sunday covering Kanye's "Can't Tell Me Nothing." The group doesn't turn it into a emo screamer, instead turning it into a bluesy acoustic number. It's obviously not better than the original. But maybe it's better than a normal Taking Back Sunday song? I'm not 100 percent sure, to be honest. [ Billboard ]
Taking Back Sunday recorded an unexpected cover recently for Billboard and you might be asking yourself what that cover was. Or maybe you actually read the header and that's why you're here? Probably the latter. So down to business, they covered Kanye West's " Can't Tell Me Nothing " which featured on his 2007 album, Graduation . It's an interesting cover I guess and not the normal thing you'd expect these guys to do, which is a good thing. Check it out for yourselves courtesy of Billboard and let us know if you think they did [...]

Quiksilver Pro NY + Free Music = Swell times. Pun intended // Surf and music has always gone hand in hand for me. My fondness of Kings of Convenience , Koop , Mason Jennings , Donovan , Jon Swift the Astrophysicist , heck even the Goons of Doom , all stemmed from one surf film or another. In just under a month - Sept. 1-15th - the Quikie Pro will be hitting the shores of Long Beach, NY . This will [...]
