We all know Tame Impala's unmatched and uncanny ability to replicate the sounds of golden age psychedelia, but with their latest video offering, the Perth boys prove that, with a little help from Japanese visual artist Yoshi Sodeoka, they can flawlessly emulate the mind-bending visuals of 60s psychedelic rock videos as well. Tame Impala – “Elephant” I don't know what came first: the song title, or the music. Because this song pretty much just stomps along unapologetically like an 8,000-pound pachyderm. That is, until the smooth keyboard breakdown at about a minute-fifteen in (triggered with a whispered, "here it comes,") which then gets ramped up a few notches about a minute later. "Elephant," the first single to be released off of the band's second album  Lonerism , is not quite a sixties psychedelia throwbac k, but you can definitely see that influence in songwriter Kevin Parker's work.
