Moonface: With Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravery - Moonface is a project of Canadian multi-instrumentalist, Spencer Krug. If you aren't familiar with Moonface or Spencer Krug, sometimes art speaks louder than words. Moonface is merely one of 4 projects that he's part of... Sunset Rubdown which resembles this iteration the closest, Wolf Parade and Swan Lake. While Wolf Parade was his most prominent project, it seems he's never really stopped writing music with one project or another. You can pretty much rely on a release annually from him... the trick is to figure out which form he'll take [...]
Amid so many bad videos I've had to endure lately, there have also been a few phenomenal videos that are worth mentioning... Let's start with TEEEL 's remix of 'Story Ends' by Monster Rally . It isn't exactly new, but it's an exceptional song and it has footage from one of my favorite sci-fi horror flicks, Lifeforce . Story Ends (Teeel Remix) Sleep Party People just released their debut record and this [...]

by teepoo Moonface is the project of Wolf Parade 's Spence Krug. This is the lovely first single of his new album With Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravery . I haven't listened to the full album yet, but this track is really getting me excited for it. Moonface- Teary Eyes and Bloody Lips Check out the video!
A haunting stop-motion video has been released to accompany the Moonface track "Teary Eyes and Bloody Lips." The video fits the songs lyrics and melody well, featuring many empty and desolate locales. Using static backgrounds the stop emotion effect makes these still images still feel lively by having an object moving through them along with heavy use of blur and after image. There is a great use of filters as much of the beautiful scenery is made to look darker and hold some more significant meaning. Look for Heartbreaking Bravery April 17th or listen to the full album at The A.V [...]

Today I'm featuring 5 singles from artists who have some potentially great records coming out over the next few months. A mixtape, if you will. I'm also highlighting a great song/video from RxGibbs . Enjoy. Beach Fossils : Shallow - Late 2012 CFCF : Exercise #3 - April 24th Moonface : Teary Eyes And Bloody Lips [...]

Género: Psychedelic Pop, Progressive Electronic, Art Pop.

In the choral mass of indie rock vocalists, Spencer Krug will always stand out. It's his nonchalant, world-weary delivery-each word existing as a biting burden, each note a performance he resents. Whether he is playing with Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown or Moonface, Krug's vocals tend to define the whole listening experience, and "Teary Eyes and Bloody Lips" is no different. The track is percussive by nature, every instrument seeming to function like its own drum-kit. It's a peek at the upcoming LP With Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravery , a release that could help calcify Krug's prolific post Wolf Parade identity. [...]

Moonface is the project of Spencer Krug , who is one of the vocalists and creative minds behind the great indie rock band Wolf Parade , as well as Sunset Rubdown . He teamed up recently with Siinai, a Finnish band of some sort. The details are a little arduous, but the results are pretty good. Teary Eyes and Bloody Lips is the lead single for the album and the sound is familar to anyone who has backgroud knowledge on Wolf Parade and Sunset Rubdown. Moonface will be releasing their album on April 17 [...]
