Every Friday I write a column about internet-related things for Irish Independent's Day & Night . Every week, I pick out four great music picks from the best of the music blogosphere. Follow Day & Night on Twitter or Facebook . It's out today in print. Kwes If Sampha, SBTRKT, Metronomy and formed a supergroup it might sound a bit like the solo work of Kwes. The producer has worked with Ghostpoet, The xx, Speech Debelle and DELS and his solo album on Warp Records is finally coming around the bend [...]

Wow these two tracks are completely irresistible. Big things coming from Teendaze ! I heard " Treten " and immediately starting writing a post. Everything about this song screams awesomeness. It's their second single from the upcoming album "All Of Us, Together," which is due to drop May 22nd on Lefse Records. Keep a watchful eye out for the release! I was browsing the Teendaze Soundcloud out of sheer curiousity and came across the Brothertiger remix of " Brooklyn Sunburn ." [...]
Mondays are for holding onto your balloon. Library Voices – Traveller’s Digest (Teen Daze remix) (via bandcamp) + original track Matt Longo – Level-Headed Man (via bandcamp) The Draymin – Heart Attack Literature – Grifted Churches – Feel Alright (via soundcloud)

Slap that frown right off your face and replace it with the cheesiest of cheesy grins, as you throw some shapes under the glow of a glitter-ball/light refracting half empty cider bottle to this new tune from Teen Daze. It’s called Let’s Groove , and it’s as dancey as they come. Listen to it here: Let’s Groove
New Music | Tycho Just stumbled across this mint Teen Daze remix of Tycho's Hours. And the LP cover reminds me just how brilliant Tycho's artwork is. Can someone please buy me this and everything else in the store while you're there. Much appreciated. And if you're at a loose end after you spending spree, check out more of Scott Hansen's work on his blog.

Take A Listen: The Harvest from Teen Daze Teen Daze's forthcoming EP, 'A Silent Planet,' will be released on August 9th via Waaga.

I'm not sure if it's my aging bones or that I've been restless in Cleveland, but spending time this past week with my family was fabulous. Each year that goes by I feel a slight tug back toward the town of my childhood, and any time spent in Cincinnati is usually restful and fulfilling. After a quick visit in Porkopolis and a jaunt down to the rolling hills of Tennessee, I'm officially back in Cleveland and enjoying the sauna....sort of. This post is to serve as a quick catch-up with some things I've missed over the last [...]
Idaho has a garage rock scene? Who knew? Straight outta Boise, ID comes some ethereal, crackly, bare bones Lo-Fi that springs into a symphonic finish. The slow, steady thump of this track's barely there drumbeat is epic. According to this blog, their album (worth acquiring, yo) was recorded in a Cold War bomb shelter. Which is [Read Full Post...]
Last week, Vancouver’s Teen Daze announced the release of a new EP, A Silent Planet , slated to drop August 9, and the first on new label Waaga . As the story goes, the EP is six songs inspired by C.S. Lewis's Out Of The Silent Planet , using the novel as a guide to soundtrack to one’s imagination, a map of the images cast in his mind while he read. For those familiar with Teen Daze’s earlier work, you'll definitely hear a shift in sound, one that’s less likely to [...]

As the days get longer and the temperature continues to rise, out emerges more new gazing electronic goodness from new electronic group The Parish of Little Clifton Read More >>
Nothing against Benjamin Hoste's excellent video for this song, but Canadian chillwaver Teen Daze has taken a kitchen appliance to Seven Saturdays' "True Romance," turning Jonathan Haskell's perfectly languorous composition into a palpitation-inducing mess. The track is part of "Secret Things," a free six-song EP that offers retooled Seven Saturdays material (the Sun Airway, White Sea and Memoryhouse remixes are keepers). We've loved Seven Saturdays for a long time , so here's a recommendation: 1) Watch the video with the sound muted, then 2) Go here , put your headphones on, close your eyes [...]

This is stunningly beautiful music from another chillwaver whose real name is undisclosed. HAHA released his free EP yesterday off Cultus Vibes . Labelamate Teen Daze leant his magic touch to the title track 'City Ghosts.' Both versions are absolutely amazing for different reasons. The original track is an ambient electronica masterpiece, transporting you to another state of mind with it's lushly layered synths and reverb claps. Teens Daze adds a deep beat and a slightly more driving bass that sounds like Isan's 'Calf" remixed by Blondes. Enjoy these alone or with friends. Learn more at HAHA's [...]

Gobble Gobble are back at it with another few tracks they've recently released. One being a cover of "Nikki" by The Dream & the other a Teen Daze remix. I don't know how these guys have made any... Listen At BIRP!
Teen Daze's new song on bandcamp comes with a note. You should probably read it, otherwise you might no believe its actually Teen Daze when you start listening to it! I really came to fall in love with the whole lo-fi pop scene this summer, and I wanted to see what I could come up with. After writing “Let’s Fall Asleep Together”, the last three just sort of happened in the span of a few days. I know that it’s starting to get cold, and that carefree love [...]

Teen Daze - Wet Hair (Japandroids Cover) She had wet hair / Say what you will / I don't care / I couldn't resist it Teen Daze has taken the raw, reverb-fuzz of the Japanadroids and made it cleaner, wetter, and somehow even more urgent. The intense wall of synths blasting on quick arpeggios rests only briefly to explain his aim, without leaving behind the happy "I don't care what you think" attitude. Japandroids used to feel like lo-fi's answer to high school emo rock ; [...]

Joshua Fisher, the guy behind the marketing/consulting company Heart Music Group , is one fellow who was championing Baths' Will Wiesenfeld when the electro wunderkind was still making music under the name Post-Foetus. Now Baths has lent a previously unreleased track to a (free) six-track EP that Heart is releasing digitally. Besides Baths, the collection features Teen Daze , Light Pollution , Blackbird Blackbird , Gobble Gobble and Kites Sail High — all artists that fall under the experimental/electro umbrella (or "chillwave," if that term doesn't already make your skin crawl). Baths' [...]
