So I got it into my head that maybe I should interview Dessa. If you've been reading my blog for more than a couple weeks, you'll know that Dessa was who I was most excited about finding out about last year. She's a part of the Doomtree collective and they toured America last fall. Now they're gearing up for SXSW and a spring tour! Find all your Doomtree related stuff HERE . So this is my first interview I've ever done. Well that's not true. I interviewed a Boston College basketball player that my Dad taught. But [...]

NATO has been struggling to win over the hearts and minds of the local population throughout its eight-and-half year occupation of Afghanistan: Seems like it isn't having much luck with their ears , either. US special forces in Marjah have hit upon the genius idea of blasting deafening Metallica , Thin Lizzy and Offspring tunes in the general direction of suspected insurgent strong-holds in a bid to root out hard rock-averse guerrillas. Only problem is, the civilians aren't exactly ecstatic about the constant barrage of 'Enter Sandman' and 'Pretty Fly (For [...]

"I think it got blown up a little more than we intended it to," singer Dexter Holland tells Spinner. While recording in 2003, the band was at a loss for an album title. "When the record's coming together, you try to seriously think of a title for ten minutes and then [...]

Last year was subject to the release of The Offspring making their return with another album "Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace" which wasn't a classic from the Californian rockers but, in my view, it never got the credit it deserved. Yes, it may not have been as good as previous records but that would be one hard act to follow. One song however, was far from a dissapointment and shows the band at their best. "You're Gonna Go Far Kid" has everything you want from an Offspring track. Fast paced guitar and drum exchanges, big [...]
