Ra Ra Riot have announced a few details about their forthcoming album. The band are set to release their latest effort, entitled ' The Orchard ', on August 24. The album, which is the follow-up to 2008's ' The Rhumb Line ', features 10 tracks including ' Boy ', ' Massachusetts ', and ' Kansai '. ' The Orchard ' was co-produced by the band and Andrew Maury with track mixing done by Death Cab For Cutie 's Chris Walla and Vampire Weekend 's Rostam Batmanglij . [...]

It's been a pretty amazing year for music around the UK, and following on from my top 10 of 2007 , here is my top 10 of 2008. 10 - Viva Stereo - Roar Lion Roar You've probably not heard much about this Scottish collective. Ra Ra Riot have announced dates for a forthcoming North American tour set for next year. The extensive jaunt will kick off January 22 at a Planned Parenthood benefit in New York. Among the dates announced are shows in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego.
