Say hello to Sohella , one of the freshest new electronic producers to be based out of Nashville. He has a certain funky edge to it. He remixed "This Means War" a chilled out indie folk song fellow Nashville artist, singer Lauren Rantala . He creates a unique sounding electro house track with some phenomenal sampling leaving the vocals and instruments from the original perfectly placed. Something about this song just has that instant replay effect, give it a good listen and you will understand. He has been nice enough to let us pass out a free download. [...]

As much as I'd hope for a successful opening weekend, John Carter fell short of that. John Carter only pulled in a 30 Million estimated receipts for the weekend, while Lorax remained in top position with 39 Million. Its a real shame too, not for Lorax, but for Carter. That movie is way better than 30 Million. Hopefully it will resurge somehow. It's completely worth it. Top Ten Below... Check It... This Weekends Gross // Total Gross [...]

Hollywood has a long habit of making movies that mix action and romance (especially around Valentine's Day). The idea is that they can provide something for everyone so that anyone will enjoy it. This Means War is one of those movies. They hired a director quite familiar with action, McG, and the two male leads who are no strangers to the genre. They then filled the movie with America's new sweetheart, Reese Witherspoon, and hope that the audience shows up in droves. The movie follows Tuck (Tom [...]

Title: "THE SYNTAX TERROR MIX" Release date: September 17th 2011 Origin: Oslo Dub City! Running time: 64 min Genre: Drum & bass, dubstep, drumstep This mix was based on the idea that there are a lot of rock/metalkids out there that love this dark and wobbly world of dub - they just don't know it yet. I've listened to punk and hardcore my whole life, so I know where they're coming from. An old friend of mine has always been a hardcore-guy and is pretty clear on his view of electronic music - that [...]
Everybody needs to get fucked like a clown every now and then. Take your partner / favourite playmate / worst enemy home for the night, dress up in proper clown outfits and get smashed on cheap bourbon. Then all you need to do is release your inner clown and let that cheeky bastard run amok. Dance like it's been made illegal, turn your apartment upside-down, fuck between smashed furniture and make a huge mess with creampies. That's "creampie" as in a pie with cream, you pervert. THE COULROPHILIA MIX (EBW Podcast #3) [...]

This Means War Darren hit me with this track the other day and I am liking it. "This Means War" is different from the other songs Darren has hit me with in terms of the content and overall sound. The beat is also something that stands out from his past songs and he has stepped it [...]
You may have read my post/rant earlier in the week about the coming war betwixt the major labels and the blogosphere, but now it seems that things are coming to a head. The Daily Growl (an exceedingly excellent music blog, and a source of discovery for many of my favourite bands; from Esser to Rob St.John) has reported similar post-deleting atrocities occurring on his site . But all is not lost: Ed, from the 17 Seconds blog, (and who's Glasvegas post's deletion caused such an uproar at Song, by Toad) seems to be rallying his supporters and [...]
