The setting of Stern Grove was the perfect kind of magic for the large Family Crest and the spunky OK Go.

Ran across this on Facebook from a friend, Ok Go is known for doing crazy videos all in one take.
Remember Amanda Diva ? Well, after a rather lengthy hiatus, and even a change back to her birth name of Amanda Seales, the songstress is finally back. With the name change, it also appears that she is reinventing her entire brand, teaming up with renowned producers like that of Ski Beatz . For her first offering, she drops the lush visuals to an equally sensual single, "This Too Shall Pass". The single will land on Seales' upcoming project, Technicolor Lover.

Indie scene innovators OK Go are staying one step ahead of expectations with their latest video for the sweet acoustic ballad "Last Leaf." It's a far cry from the outrageously ambitious, mind-boggling, shot-in-one-take videos for songs like "This Too Shall Pass" and "White Knuckles," which seemed pretty tough to top. But top them they did...on toast. Yes, toast plays the lead role in this video, with a beautifully animated stop-motion series of images laser-etched into, count them, 2,430 pieces of toast. It's a whimsical concept, perfectly executed with a lot of heart [...]
OK GO - THE VIDEOS We've never covered OK GO on The Recommender before. The main reason is that their music is a bit shit. Oh alright, that's a little harsh, but their music definitely suffers from heavy doses of averageness - a plight befitting many bands, guaranteeing them a miss on this blog, as we are proud bunch of very picky bastards. So you would be forgiven for asking why we open our books to them today? Well, there's one outstanding feature of OK GO, which obviously is NOT [...]
Like many 80's bands, OK Go owes a lot to the music video form. Their homemade video for "A Million Ways" is the most downloaded music video in history and garnered the band a Grammy Award. But it's their innovative video for "Here It Goes Again" that will go down in history as one of the most memorable and cost-efficient videos. The Chicago-based band write catchy tunes with clever lyrics that are equally as captivating as their videos. Their latest release, Of the Blue Colour of the Sky is currently available. Check out their acoustic [...]

OK Go premiered their video for “End Love” at Bonnaroo this weekend and it’s now officially online. 03.22.2010 OK Go just recently parted ways with EMI to start its very own independent record label, Paracadute (Italian for "parachute"), 'cause they weren't happy with EMI's decision to not allow embedding of the band's videos online. This as their latest video "This Too Shall Pass" was, like, totally going viral... The band's no stranger to viral videos. Their 2006 music video for "Here it Goes Again," featuring choreographed dancing on treadmills, has been seen almost 50 million times and is in the top-50 most-watched videos on YouTube ever. See [...]

Indie darlings OK Go have been going their own way since the start of their careers — from their inventive, DIY videos (who hasn't seen the treadmill routine by now?) to their grassroots Internet campaigns, they've figured out how to stay progressively independent in the free-falling world of the music industry. They even managed to sign to a major label and still control all publishing, merchandise, and touring rights. It seems they couldn't kick the indie itch though as the band announced today that will part from EMI to start their [...]
Back in 2005, Chicago pop-rock act OK Go achieved runaway viral success thanks to their video for A Million Ways . The clip, which has been downloaded an astonishing nine million times, features the band in their backyard performing a dance choreographed by their singer's sister. Last week, OK Go released their latest viral masterpiece the Rube Goldberg via Pee Wee Herman-inspired video for This Too Shall Pass... OK Go - This Too Shall Pass

2 fantastic music videos have been absolutely awesome over the last 2 days. One is from veterans of the viral world and the other is from a guy who is maybe the closest we have to a veteran of this blog (...) and to boot the actual songs are just as super. OK Go - This Too Shall Pass OK Go are the guys who did the running machine music video for Here It [...]
These guys are just incredibly creative with their videos. The official video for the recorded version of “This Too Shall Pass” off of the album “Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky”. The video was filmed in a two story warehouse, in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. The “machine” was designed and built by the band, along with members of Synn Labs over the course of several months. Directed by James Frost, OK Go and Syyn Labs.
