This one kind of sounds like Lil' Jon and Skrillex got together and remixed the eponymous Michael Jackson classic. Courtesy of Wick-It The Instigator, a Nashville-based DJ who's been releasing music since 2004, it brings a grotesque drumstep / moombahton feel to an otherwise familiar song. It seems that Wick-It is an artist who doesn't sleep. Just last week he released his moombahton remix of The Heavy 's funk single "How You Like Me Now," and today, we have his massive "halloweenbahton"/"trick or treat step" remix of Michael Jackson 's hit "Thriller." Keep an ear out for the 2 minute mark when the remix transitions the tempo from 108 BPM to 72 BPM.
For those that are easily offended or faint of heart, it would probably be best to cease ready this review now. This game is crude, vulgar, violent and a ton of fun. The fourth set of remixed tracks from Radiohead 's The King of Limbs album has dropped from the skies. In this group, Give Up The Ghost is remixed by Thriller , Codex is remixed by Illum Sphere and Little By Little by Shed. Per the usual, I have no idea who these remixing artists are, but nonetheless I enjoyed this group, particularly Little By Little. Check out the songs above:
On the latest Radiohead Remix single, Thriller, Illum Sphere and Shed all make for one of the more subtle and nuanced releases in the series. Illum Sphere expands the already light atmosphere of "Give Up The Ghost" with a loungey, ambient take on the track, while Shed does an equally impressive number on "Little By Little", using field samples to turn the originally upbeat track in to something much darker than its' creators could have ever previously conceived.
