MxPx have entered the studio to begin recording their ninth full-length album. The yet to be named album is the formal follow-up to 2007's Secret Weapon . The album is being produced by vocalist Mike Herrera at his Monkey Trench Studios in Bremerton, WA and features drummer Yuri Ruley who left the band last year . After writing over 20 songs for the offering, MxPx are in the process of whittling down the selection to 12-14. The band remains in the midst of wrapping up guitars, bass, and vocals [...]

Underoath have announced their next album. The record is titled Disambiguation and is due out October 26, 2010 . The record is the first from the band since the departure of longtime drummer Aaron Gillespie. The band worked with producers Matt Goldman (Lost In the Sound of Separation and Define the Great Line) and Jeremy SH Griffith. The band previously released Lost in the Sound of Separation in 2008.

Exclaim is reporting that Further Seems Forever have reunited with original vocalist (and Dashboard Confessional leader) Chris Carrabba. Further Seems Forever posted a video on a newly launched website yesterday of the band rehearsing "The Moon Is Down" with Carrabba on vocals. The video concludes with word "Spring" hinting at a tour or album next year. The most recent lineup of the band had called it quits in 2006 after releasing Hide Nothing in 2004.

Drummer Yuri Ruley has announced that he will be retiring from MxPx after eighteen years in the band.
