Les Sins is the chic name of Toro Y Moi 's side project that purportedly has got a more "dance-floor" feel to it. While I can't quite see anyone bumping and/or grinding to the song in the traditional sense, "Fetch" is definitely eclectic, far out there, and really, really dope. Which are three values I find myself looking for in modern music. Les Sins sounds a lot less Indie-vogue sounding and a lot more like an artist up at 2 AM with a bottle of Whiskey making weird sounds, and just crushing it. [...]

Les Sins is Chaz Bundick, Chaz Bundick is Toro y Moi , obviously this is going to be ridiculously good. It's a little world away from Toro, it's quite housey for a start. But there is just as much intelligence and brilliance behind Les Sins as in any other Toro project. The below tracks will be released as a double-sided single later this month under Caribou 's Jiaoulong label (a perfect fit).

Chaz Bundick has decided to drop the Toro Y Moi moniker for a moment, and put back on his Les Sins cape. This was done to release some dance-influenced tracks, “Fetch” and “Taken” respectively. The man is too talented. Chaz will release the 7” of these track on Dan Smith’s (Caribou) label, Jiaolong, later this month.

"Fetch" is a slick, glitchy number, with percussion playing a heavy part throughout, while "Taken" is a frantic, off-kilter cut. Both songs are definitely worth the replay. Stream them below.
