Toro Y Moi' s Chaz Bundick revisits his Les Sins moniker with a new split single: "Fetch" b/w "Taken". Picking up where he left off on 20102s Lina , "Fetch" utilizes a medley of samples to create a balmy pool of R&B gusto while "Taken" is a seven minute diatribe on the synths. Both dabble with sweaty, late-night house beats. Stream 'em below. "Fetch": "Taken": Bundick [...]

A few years back, producer Chaz Bundick ( Toro Y Moi ) began publishing more house-centric work under his separate moniker Les Sins, through Dan Snaith's label Jiaolong. You can check out both sides of Les Sins' upcoming single release "Fetch/Taken" below, which is set for release later this month.
I feel weak. New Toro Y Moi is enough to make me buckle at the knees. I am posting this because nah rez can't but am thinking of her at this wonderful time. See the video above from team Toro and let Chaz make your day like he made mine. Video: Toro Y Moi - "Rose Quartz" (Live Debut at Lollapalooza 2012) |

Atmospheric beats begin this track as what follows could only be described as the closest thing TYLER THE CREATOR will ever come to spouting a love song. It is an odd departure from the usual, “Kill people, burn shit, fuck school” mentality that is associated with TYLER ’s other project ODD FUTURE (OFWGKTA) . Lyrics like, “Looking good in that skirt/ Flirting is the effective way that this works”, TYLER even talks about going down to the lake to eat some Pringles with his chick. Now that is [...]
After praising Toro Y Moi’s music from multiple tweets, Tyler The Creator and Toro Y Moi have finally collaborated on track. Whether "Hey You" is actually finished is still up in the air. Check out the chilled out track below and we’ll keep you posted on the final product.

A few of my favorite new releases this week, including the latest from Toro y Moi and the solo debut from the one and only Jack White. As always, be sure to check out Largehearted Boy and KEXP for a whole lot more. Bad Veins// The Mess We've Made ♩ Dancing On TV [...]

Toro Y Moi at Mercury Lounge, from the HAD Archive HAD faves Toro y Moi are continuing their upward trajectory this fall. Over the past few months they've been on the road playing progressively bigger venues than ever before. What's more, the band dropped a new EP last week (cover below) entitled Freaking Out . The record, which consists of [...]

Carpark will release indie darling, Toro Y Moi's new EP on September 13th. The artwork above was recently lobbed to the masses, along with a cover of Alexander O'Neal and Cherelle's "Saturday Love." You can head over to Chaz Bundick's website and purchase his prior release, Underneath the Pine if you haven't yet, and while you're there, check out some information on the EP. According to the initial post at Pitchfork, he'll be unveiling some of the orginal material from [...]

Guilty as charged. When it comes to fresh electro-rhythms and synth-laden jams, I'm not typically looking right in my own hood. Let's be honest. Cleveland is rust belt, and that provides the best kind of blue-collar rock n' roll ethos - in fact, I'd argue that Cleveland has always had its own distinct sound, typically driven by its early roots rock n' roll and lush punk history. Nonetheless, Cleveland native Ryan Sheridan's outfit, Gossip Culture , is set to drop its debut EP, People Talk via [...]

Tweet ICR’s mother knows him as Zoltan Gal. I’d love to have a first name like Zoltan. I wouldn’t be a mild-mannered ice cream salesman* by day and music blogger by night with a name like that. I’d be freakishly tall, have an odd little pointed goatee, wear a silk cape with gold piping and be secretly working on a plan to overthrow the government and enslave the people. There’s no evidence that ICR is working on such a plan, yet, [...]

Tweet Ernest Greene aka Washed Out has given us the first preview of his new album Within or Without with the single Eyes Be Closed below: Washed Out - Eyes Be Closed by adamlunatone I find the Chillwave genre fascinating, it's filled with synth vibes and hazy tones right out of the 80s and at the same time most of the tracks sound perfectly [...]
![[NEW MUSiC] Jed and Lucia – Helium (Letherette Remix)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3355856_lg.jpg)
Jed and Lucia have released a limited vinyl run on Ubiquity Records of their latest EP Helium accenting a fascination with dreamy, ethereal synth-pop (a fascination which I share). Their nuanced style on this, the title track from the EP, is warm and simply textured. Not unlike contemporaries Toro y Moi and James Blake , Jed and Lucia seem to understand perfectly how to combine unetched harmonies with a cacophony of echoes and found noises that brighten corners and sweep into rooms like fading sunlight cast through the [...]

The foursome's Americana-tinged EP (released March 8) features some nice moments from both vocalists Round and Rutledge. Even though that picture of Slash and his guitar I took a couple weeks ago has nothing to do with any of the new albums coming out this week I felt it appropriate as it conveys how awesome this weeks new releases are. Why so awesome? Glad you asked... two words, the Monkees! Just kidding, they were not that good. Just kidding they were pretty awesome. Especially for a sorta fake band that was cast, as actors... for a TV show, they were excellent. Daydream Believer , Last Train to Clarksville ... so good. Today's [...]
Below is the latest edition of our weekly feature, Stuck On Repeat . The premise is simple, we’ve asked all our contributors to submit one track and a brief write-up. The track can be new or it can be old, just whatever we could not stop listening to this [...]
Toro Y Moi's sophomore release, Underneath The Pine , is set for release next month. We've already heard "Still Sound," but today we get a look at the song's remix and another track from the forthcoming album. Worth a listen. Yesterday, in our utter excitement about Toro Y Moi 's upcoming live dates for the spring, we managed to completely overlook that the band has a sicktastic new record, entitled Underneath The Pine , on tap for February. If the first track ("Still Sound", below) is any indication, the record's going to be even dancier than Causers Of This , which we're guessing will leave most fans pretty damned satisfied. Needless to say, those live dates? Yup: now we're even more stoked. [...]
A regular roundup of 5 tunes that are getting repeated plays. 1.
