Toro Y Moi 's Anything In Return was packed with stellar jams, so it must have been tough for producer Binary Bits to pick just one to mess around with. He chose "So Many Details", though, a standout single, and probably the same one we would have picked. The slow-shaking, infectious little track, moves along with ease as Binary Bits uses crashing percussion and morphing effects to his advantage. Listen to the bootleg below.

One of my favorite albums of the young year has been Toro Y Moi's Anything In Return . It might not be the "best" of 2013 when all is said and done, but it's a solidly enjoyable album from start to finish, and it achieves Chaz Bundick's stated goal of releasing a pop album. Bundick, however, is never content with a three year album cycle of release, tour, write, record, and his side project, Les Sins, is evident of that fact. This track, "Grind", is from a new single under the Les Sins heading that will be released [...]

Les Sins is the side-project of Chaz Bundick, a.k.a. Toro Y Moi . He takes his chillwave ambition even further here, focusing more on straight-up synth infused dance music, with a tint of soul. He is releasing a new single featuring two songs ("Grind/Prelims") that will come out on Jiaolong on March 18. Check out both tracks below.

Look what we have hear, a new track from Toro Y Moi 's side project, Les Sins . Well, two to be exact, as they are being packaged as a double single 123. If Anything In Return wasn't groovy enough for you, these two new jams will definitely do the trick. While you could say Les Sins is indeed a side project, these two tracks might be some of our favorite from Chaz. Ever. "Grind" features a number of grooving transitions, driven by a vocal sample that changes pitch throughout. "Prelims", on the other [...]
Toro Y Moi gets re-freaked by DaM-FunK, but in the studio, not a bathroom stall. Toro Y Moi has shared a new remix of his Anything In Return standout "Say That" . The remix comes courtesy of DaM-FunK. [...]
Toro y Moi's latest album "Anything In Return" has been out for almost a month now. So as expected, remixes of his originals are starting to resurface everywhere. The latest in the entourage of edits comes from non-other than Dam-Funk ! Taking a crack at altering Toro Y Moi's song "Say That," the LA based producer has chosen to live up to his name by laying down the funk on this track in an effort to take up the sexy a couple of notches. If you need something to place in your playlist for this Valentine's Day, look no [...]
Pasadena producer DaM FunK was enlisted to "Re-Freak" Toro y Moi's "Say Anything," and as a consequence, we now have a longer, more danceable version of one of our favorite songs from Anything In Return . It's amazing what the addition of a little bass and handclaps can do for a track. The wonderful Anything In Return came out earlier this year on Carpark. Toro y Moi's "Say That", off this year's Anything in Return , is one of our favorite singles from the past few months. It doesn't hurt that it arrived with some fitting vacation-esque visuals , either. And now, that laid-back vibe has been increased substantially thanks to the handiwork of Dam-Funk . His "re-freak" of "Say That" is so incredibly chill and summer-ready that you might forget that it's only ... February. Listen to the remix below. [ via ]

At the end of the last decade a new subgenre of pop began to emerge, creating a buzz that swamped the majority of mp3 blogs and music sites alike: chillwave. At the forefront, Toro y Moi ’s Chaz Bundick was there, his single ,” Blessa” , taking on accolades that hadn’t quite earned all the acclaim. Once his debut , Causer of This , came out several months later, the chillwave train already come and gone. Fortunately for Bundick, it was a chance to develop a more refined output, [...]

It's hard to go subtle when you're known for grabbing people's attention. Last year, Flying Lotus made a nearly identical shift with the soundscape-laden, electronic-gone-ambient Until the Quiet Comes : a critically adored record which ended up underwhelming me due to the lack of sonic payoff from respective genres (i.e. jazz, IDM, etc) Lotus borrows from. We're in a similar place now with L.A.-based electronic producer Jason Chung, better known as Nosaj Thing , on the follow-up to his energetic 2009 debut record Drift [...]
Nosaj Thing doesn't have to "Try" too hard with Toro Y Moi guesting. Today marked the release of Home , the new album from electronic artist Nosaj Thing . To celebrate the release of his follow-up to his debut album, Drift , the musician has released the new song, "Try" , [...]

Given the absence of technology in my life this past week, I've only just had the chance to listen to this and my oh my it's big. Try is taken from Nosaj Thing's second album Home which is coincidentally out today, I'm therefore dedicating the rest of the day to listening to it. Stream below & enjoy:
Some, if not most songs give the feeling of going from one place to another. Think of how many music videos you've seen that involve travel or some sort of narrative with definite beginnings and endings. Well, this is not one of those songs. "Try" is a song which simply emanates from one corner of the room and covers everything around it in the melancholic essence of Nosaj Thing. Chaz Bundick (aka Toro Y Moi) stops by to lend his gentle croonings to the introspective dubness. After four minutes of beautiful, slow-burning noises, the track stops and hangs in the [...]

I always get nervous when two of my favorite acts get together and collaborate, if only because my expectations can get so high that it's almost impossible for the final product to truly deliver. Thankfully, that is not the case for Nosaj Thing 's latest track off Home , "Try", which features guest vocals from Toro Y Moi , aka Chaz Bundick. His voice becomes a dreamy layer amid the headphones-necessary cut. Listen below. RELATED: The 50 Most Anticipated Albums of 2013

Before its release on January 22nd, Toro Y Moi (aka Chaz Bundick) is offering up a full stream of his third album Anything In Return . Building upon his ever-developing, eclectic sound, Bundick's latest work delves into a unique conglomeration of pop and chillwave sensibilites. The result is nothing short of fantatsic, a mellowed out treat for the senses. Stream the full album here , courtesy of Pitchfork.

After becoming a "chillwave mastermind", Chaz Bundick has moved on. Breaking the mold and stepping out, Bundick has created lush, layered pop tunes with intensely dreamy synths. Instead of being labeled for being part of a scene in a summer's time, Bundick has now fully created the album to top - the mountain to climb. With anything that is associated with Toro Y Moi , approach this album as if you've never heard anything before. Twists and turns with reverb-laden synths are now the perfect soundtrack to [...]
