In perhaps the least publicized show of the weekend, Mount Righteous will be joined by the likes of Pheonix, AZ's Kinch and Austin's own Voxtrot tomorrow evening at University of Dallas (in Irving). I've taken the liberty of checking tomorrow's forecast for you, and don't worry it should be sunny and 70's by the 8PM show start. Große Neuigkeiten, kleiner Post: Voxtrot sind wieder da! Mit "Trepanation Party" haben sie einen kostenlosen neuen Song zur Verfügung gestellt. Man munkelt, es würden noch mehr neue Lieder geben, sprich, die Jungs sitzen an einem neuen Album. Überraschend für mich ist der Sound. Voxtrot ...hmmm....oh yeah! Two dynamite EPs a few years back put them atop of my daily playlists. Then they released an album that didn't quite live up to those eps...then nothing...until now. They've just put out a new single "Trepanation Party" that was recorded and mixed by Jim Eno (Spoon). Take a listen: mp3: Voxtrot - Trepanation Pretty decent. Voxtrot are a band beloved in the Austin music scene and everyone around town has been anxiously awaiting some new music from the band. That new music is finally here and has been hitting the internet in the past couple of days. The new song is called "Trepanation Party" and was recorded and mixed with fellow giant in the Austin scene, Jim Eno ( Spoon ). Ob man hier schon von einem Comeback reden kann, ist mir nicht ganz klar. So lange ist es zwar nicht her, dass die Jungspunde aus Austin, TX mit wunderbaren EPs und ihrem Debut-Album von sich reden machten. In der Zwischenzeit war es jedoch sehr ruhig um die Band. Pünktlich zum Start ihres Heim-Festivals ( SXSW !) tauchen Ramesh und seine Kollegen wieder auf und verschenken auf ihrer Website einen Song in 320kbps.
