Warm, summery vibes on Troumaca's "My Love," which has a touch of Friendly Fires' about the vocals, and a bright but slightly baleful melody that I can't help but associate with Ruff Sqwad's classic grime production " Functions On The Low ." Is this the first journalistic instance of tropically tinged pop being compared to grime? Who knows. Troumaca , from Birmingham is filling that empty void for me this morning. The Birmingham band, has a new track out called, “Sancitify” and it is a wholesome piece of slightly tropical indie rock greatness. This is a track you will need to listen to with a pair of good headphones on to listen to fantastic percussion.
