Favorite Music Videos of 2012 (Alex) There was no way I was going to be able to watch all the music videos released this year. I liked so many different videos for so many different reasons it seemed silly to try and rank them. That's why I have presented my first year-end list (several more to come) alphabetically. The reasons I liked music videos this year was for a wide variety of reasons, ranging from the ones that might not have made the list [...]

We weren't going to do a 4/20 post, but then we got inspired. We thought about a post of stoner songs, but we all know what the best stoner anthems are, and you've all got your playlist of preferred pot smoking tunes. Instead, we collected seven music videos that will guarantee to provide that "ohh shit" moment for you while you're getting lifted and are looking for more than the latest chilled out rap song about smoking weed, because contrary to popular belief, you don't need to listen to music about smoking weed every time 4/20 comes around. So check [...]
I wasn't as blow away by the tUnE-yArDs 2011 album Whokill as other people I know, but I am a sucker for weird music videos and the Mimi Cave directed one for "My Country" could definitely fit into that category. I might still be won over by you yet tUnE-yArDs . -Alex Description: Music Video for [...]
tUnE-yArDs are back with a brand new visual for the third single from their "w h o k i l l" album. The video sees a gang of kids going manic in a variety of minimal yet claustrophobic sets with the occasional glimpse of frontwoman Merrill Garbus doing same. It's a great video and perfect for breaking up the monotony of your daily grind. tUnE-yArDs - My Country (Video) |
Merrill Garbus and a bunch of kids do the W H O K I L L opener.
It's been a year since tUnE-yArDs dropped the massive critically acclaimed W H O K I L L . My Country is the third music video that was dropped and it happens (in my opinion) to be the standout track on the album. Have a look at the music video.
Tune-yards , the project of Merrill Garbus , has a new video for "My Country" from the 2011 album, w h o k i l l . Watch the new video below. Read more »
This is a very awesome video that pairs well with this awesome song. It's like the fine wines of Capistrano that flow freely with delicious meats and cheeses.
Merrill Garbus leads a platoon of young kids to the sounds of her track My Country
Merrill Garbus teams up a bunch of youngsters who share a similar love for face paint in the music video for "My Country", the second video from tUnE-yArDs' standout sophomore LP, Whokill . Mimi Cave served as director, and you can watch the end result below. Here's something sort of mind blowing: Whokill turns one year old in eight days.
What is better for a late Friday morning than a tUnE-yArDs video? How about two tUnE-yArDs videos? I thought so... your welcome. And thanks go out to Man Show co-host Jimmy Kimmel for having a show with some taste.

Definitely one of the "it" shows at Pop Montreal on September 23, 2011. A sold out show with tUnE-yArDs , Pat Jordache and Touchy Mob at the Ukrainian Federation. Very anticipated show because it was tUnE-yArDs. This was the only time this year that I went to a show at Ukrainian Federation and there is something special about that venue. The show started off with Berlin's Touchy Mob. A solo guy who plays a mix of electronica and dancey music. I [...]
Remember when every alt country band was covering Snoop Dog? When your roommate was pulling Phish versions of rap off Napster on your computer and playing them at parties thinking he was all bad ass? Wasn't that the time that you really started being a music snob? Yeah, me too. Well, "Gangsta" off tUnE-yArDs amazing W H O K I L L makes those days look much more palatable and I bet you'll play this at a party. Or at least on turntable.fm.
