With all of the controversy surrounding his legacy , it's easy to often lose sight of just how talented and influential Tupac really was. Now, two recently unearthed diss tracks in "Watch Yo Mouth" and "NY '873 give the world a cutting reminder that Shakur was a man not to be trifled with. That means even you, Wendy Williams . While these new versions have never before been released, each have made the rounds online before as lower quality versions. "Watch Yo Mouth" sees the Thug Life general go off on everyone [...]

Tupac - Watch Ya Mouth (Unreleased) It's no secret that Tupac Shakur was bad at playing with others. He was nothing if not paranoid and angry. This newly uncovered track from the Tupac library features vitriol spewed at Tupac frenemies like Biggie, Bad Boy, Dr. Dre, Mobb Deep, Jeru the Damaja, Nas and even De La Soul!!! I was in the studio with The Jealous Guys last night and their engineer told us he did Tupac's "Thugz Mansion" and is about to go back to work on 20 [...]
Two Death Row era 2Pac cuts, previously unreleased in their original form, found their way to the internet last night. "Watch Ya Mouth" and "NY '87," featuring Tha Dogg Pound, one time Ice Cube signee ... read more

Tupac has been in the news lately. It would have been his 40th bday yesterday and at the same time the person who killed him came forward to admit it. It is sad, but remix DJ, Z-trip , decided to honor Tupac with a fresh remix of his track, " Better Dayz " enjoY!

Before I continue with anymore posts, let me take a moment to wish a happy birthday to one of the most influential icons in hip hop history. We all know Pac was taken from us way to early and if he were here today music would look and sound a lot different. Pac was an artist, a poet, an author and above all an inspiration to entire genre of musicians. Happy Birthday my dude. You'll always be missed and never be forgotten. June 1-6 7-1/ The day mama pushed me out [...]

Happy Birthday to Tupac Amaru Shakur ... today is the day we celebrate one of the greatest hip hop artists and visionaries ever. It's really hard to explain how much of an impact this one man had on such a vast amount of people in the music world. His vision was simple... keep it 100% real... no bullshit. His drive was unbelievable. His love for the music one couldn't even begin to explain. As a fan from day one, I can say that he was pretty much amazing. So happy birthday Tupac your music will always live on.

Anyone who's followed the site knows I'm a huge Tupac fan . There's no surprise I would make a post commemorating the legendary rapper's 40th birthday. To be honest, I didn't really want to make a post, if you guys remember, when I listen to Pac it means it's my "alone time," my "Fuck off. Leave me in my own world" type of mood. Well, I just wanted to say one quick thing: fuck Dexter Isaac! I'd rather shy away from talking about Tupac Shakur's murderer, so happy birthday, Pac. Fun fact: After learning that Tupac [...]

We've already shared that Weezy's Unplugged performance will air on Sunday but prepare yourself. He's going to perform Pac's "Hail Mary." Many will bemoan the choice and I'd probably be among them under normal circumstances. But a few days ago, I spoke on artists paying reverence and, as exterrestial as his choices may seem at times, the little Martian is perhaps one of the few who could do justice to the thug theme song, considering that he places a lot of value and energy into his performances. [...]
Mother's Day is here and it's time to reflect back on all the wonderful things our moms have done for us. There's almost nothing that my mom hasn't done for me and I'm grateful for that. My family isn't the close-family type; we're more relaxed and go about ourselves most of the time, but we usually get together a few times out of the year. Mother's Day is that day we all just kind of hang around in the same room together and eat all some of the food my brothers and I bought my mom. It's funny because my [...]

Somebody's head just exploded upon reading that headline. A few days ago several people on my Twitter timeline began venting their frustrations in reference to Soulja Boy playing the role of Bishop in what was billed as the sequel to Juice . All I could do was shake my head. It wasn't because sequels rarely live up to the original (let us all pray Hangover 2 avoids this curse) and a movie like the aforementioned 1992 classic is better left untouched. Rather because [...]

Techno Tuesday: Brought to You by 2pac. What a legend. Sorry for the brief blogging vacation. But I had to recharge before I bring the summer heat back. First up, a quality jam from the all-star SHM camp. I really don’t expect anything less from the talent over there. Next, any song that involves Andre 3000 and George Michaels is a winner. One more track from Mrs. G-6, but only because it has an absolutely epic sax loop, although I might explain more on that later in the week… Follow us on [...]

The Daily Grind It’s been a busy week, I know how you all feel. Here’s a few songs to keep things going as those summer days are ever-approaching. One of the best rap tracks I’ve heard in a while courtesy of the Gambino as well as an absolute classic from a legend. Plus it never hurts to throw in Big Sean’s latest for good measure. Childish Gambino - Do Ya Like New Boyz feat. Big Sean - I Don’t Care [...]

Its been a loooong ass weekend so lets leave things off with some new 2 Pac music. You may have heard part of this track a while ago but here's the full version. Now Im off to realx and watch some T.V. before the work week starts. Download: 2 Pac feat. Snoop Dogg, The Outlawz & The L.B.C. Crew - "The New Untouchables" / Hulkshare
Ready for another mashup from Dosvec? I hope so because the 17 days of dosvecmas rolls on! Tupac vs Kid Cudi "Pursuit Of Changes" (DOSVEC Mashup) by djwhatt
This post is a "QuickPick". QuickPicks are my attempt at getting all of the music that's sent to me that I like (or just music I like but have no words for because it's so awesome), out into the dubya dots. Any time I get sent music that I like I "star" it in Gmail and then go back and listen to it a day later. If it's still as good as it was a day before then it goes up on the site, but sometimes I get backlogged and can't get through writing up pieces for each [...]

I'm still tergiversating trough the music I love and I guess that is a good thing. Now try mixing those tracks and you get yourself a headache. It took me all night to find those but it was worth it. ZitanB's 'Lone Maya' is a "Classical Tribal Trip Step" aka ambient music released this week that makes you want to light it up and lay back. It is made up of bootleg samples from: Diabate (West Africa Unwired), Isaac Stern (Violin), Jacqueline du Pre (Cello), and others. Lone Maya - ZitanB [...]

Winter takes the warm away. Spring takes the cold away. Summer takes the rain away. and Fall took away my friend. Download Eyedea and Abilities - Hay Fever I was in a daze on Sunday. I was back on my couch [...]

Unreleased 'Pac? Apparently. Regardless, wouldn't expect anything less. Download it. RIP. mp3: Tupac - If They Love Their Kidz

Any time I get a chance to show love to D.C. musicians, I jumps on it . This time, it's Brenton Duvall of the Potomac Boys Club who, according to his mission statement, desires to deliver "funky jams…sunny days…everyday." I feel like that's a train we can all get on. Duvall recently released The PBC Demos , which contains a series of interesting mashups and remixes of recognizable favorites ranging from Aaliyah to Jonsi to Wale. My personal favorite, and without a doubt the mixtape's standout track, is [...]
