Via Pitchfork

I'll never get tired of hearing new synth pop/new wave bands. Solomon Grey is the latest to grace my ears and their track Firechild is sweet. The visuals are just icing on the cake. The art direction displayed here is fantastic. Crisp images fill the screen, perfectly capturing the beauty and chaos heard within the song itself. If you're a fan of Twin Shadow, which you better be, then Solomon Grey needs to be added to your music library. Lucky for you, Firechild is free to download. Definitely take advantage of that, and keep up with Solomon Grey on [...]
Terrible Records (I know, probably not the greatest name for a record label), have recently shared a new single from Twin Shadow's titled "Forget!"

Patient is the second song from Twin Shadow’s latest album Confess, to get the video treatment. Watch it below.

As Twin Shadow , George Lewis Jr. digs into the pop-friendly realm of blistering self-assessment where the only obvious method is to pump out insanely engaging, dance-friendly numbers. Throughout Confess , listeners aren’t sure whether to root for Lewis or hope he’ll just stop investing in unrequited love. Regardless, his latest record sees him getting over his humble debut album, Forget , as an electronic star with a predisposition to bad decisions. Throughout Confess , he is thematically bound [...]
Twin Shadow brings some better production and a stronger new wave aesthetic on this sophomore album, but the songwriting and lyrics seem to slip. WATCH THE REVIEW
With his sophomore LP Confess, Brooklyn outfit Twin Shadow just might have given us one of our most favorite albums of the year. It’s undeniable, powerful, and just what we needed to hear.

Having read of George Lewis Jr.'s sophomore Twin Shadow full-length Confess as being something of a dashboard banger burning tyre as it rides alongside Cliff Martinez' Drive soundtracking, it wasn't a record I felt particularly compelled to clamber aboard. Forget had a simple charm to it and indeed this time around Lewis Jr. rewires things quite substantially to comprise the shiny, shiny production values and extravagant bombast such a parallel may gear up. But change should be embraced, encouraged and above all admired, and from first exposure Confess may be [...]

Hip hip hooray for New Wave! Yes, if this track doesn't conjure up images from 802s John Hughes classics like The Breakfast Club, Some Kind of Wonderful, and Pretty in Pink then I guess nothing will. This is so steeped in New Wave bliss and I love it. Twin Shadow is the stage name of American musician George Lewis Jr who is about to release his sophomore effort, Confess which "Five Seconds" can be found on. Twin Shadow - Five Seconds

Brooklyn-based George Lewis Jr., aka Twin Shadow , has released "Five Seconds" off of his upcoming album Confess , slated for release July 10th via 4AD Records. Known for his new wave '80s aesthetic from his 2010 debut Forget , Lewis' latest release expands on the '80s vibe with an uptempo drum beat, soaring synths, and his signature smooth, crooning vocals. As Lewis explained to Stereogum in February, his new material is still very synth-heavy, but with more emphasis on sampled acoustic drums, as evidenced [...]
Twin Shadow is back with another album. After just one listen, it's apparent that he's greatly improved on a trademark sound that was already amazing.

"Five Seconds" is the first single off of Twin Shadow's new album titled "Confess" which will be out on July 9th on 4AD. Frontman George Lewis Jr. continues down a similar path as his previous work, with the slick New Wave grooves still pulsing on this new single. Twin Shadow - Five Seconds posted by @EstabanBelChere

Usually I avoid cover songs. It's not that I have anything against them; in fact, I'm always worried they're going to be too good. This is especially true if it's a cover of a song I already like. How can there possibly be room in my heart for two (or more!) versions of the same song? (Plus, I already have the entire Smith's discography hanging out in there, and I need to conserve space.) Of course, I immediately broke my "no covers" rule for Twin Shadow, aka George Lewis Jr. There's no way I, a self-proclaimed new wave junkie, could deny his [...]

Oh Land track White Nights receives the Honorary remix treatment by New Waver Twin Shadow. Twin Shadow is showing the world that his is a force to be reckoned with and he will be here for a real long time. Enjoy

The 80s new wave-inspired electro rocker Twin Shadow stopped by Daytrotter this week to record some of more organic takes on some of the band’s biggest hits. George Lewis Jr. takes a turn from the synth-heavy pop found in the album versions to something that assumes a semblance more of a fully-fledged rock band. Also look for the band when they stop by the Black Cat to kick off their spring tour with The Pains of Being Pure at Heart in April. MP3: Twin Shadow - "Slow (Daytrotter Session)"

Twin Shadow is the stage name of American musician George Lewis Jr. Lewis was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Florida, before eventually relocating to Brooklyn and adopting the Twin Shadow moniker. Twin Shadow was the Rolling Stone ‘Band of the Week’ on October 7, 2010.
