Irish Punk music history will be celebrated saturday 14th April at  The Twisted Pepper . The event will consist of a documentary debut screening on Punk Rock in Ireland called Fuck Off And Die  by Steve Murray in The Basement, but also gigs from local and non-local bands Irish Punk/Pop-Punk/Hardcore bands (Loose Nut, Pulled Apart, Crows, Stick Around, Boardwalk) as well as a photography exhibition of Old and New Punk scene figures, featuring work from Wally Cassidy, Anto Dillion, Seanie Cahill and others in the Café/Ground Floor. Summer festival dance tents are a fading memory at this stage but the sun’s been out this week so let off some steam. Promoters Pogo and We Are Electronic are joining forces tomorrow for a night at Dublin’s Twisted Pepper, bringing over two of Europe’s heavy hitters. Next Tuesday October 4th sees the opening of Dublin's newest music shop Elastic Witch in the the Twisted Pepper building on Abbey Street in Dublin. The building run by Bodytonic, Dublin's most ambitious club promoters has also housed a successful café called 3FE with some of the best coffee in Dublin city centre (3FE have expanded with a new branch on Grand Canal Street last month) and most recently, The Loft Bookshop . Bingo is 21 year-old producer Frank Sweeney from Dublin who makes luscious tracks with nods to dubstep, garage and UK funky. His music recalls the likes of Mount Kimbie, James Blake and Burial. Grand Pocket Orchestra will be launching their new single 'Basketballs' in the Twisted Pepper on May 22nd before they depart on a European tour this summer.
