Every since he tweeted "June Eighteen" there has been an excessive thirst for news on Kanye West 's highly-anticipated sixth studio LP. Yesterday, we reported that Tyler, the Creator's third Mountain Dew commercial depicting the violent spree of Felicia the Goat was pulled from the web  following an outcry that it was "racist." It was only my third gig of 2013, though  Young Fathers' rice 'n' pea-powered Shacklewell Arms showing remains one of the finer evenings out of this one thus far. The off-kilt hip hop trio appeared to come of age there and then upon that most oily of stages, and an incontestable highlight came in the surprisingly refined form of a then unknown track as we now know entitled I Heard. I like everything about this. The old man goofball glee that Letterman gets from saying "Earl Sweatshirt." The Temptations back-up dancing provided by Tyler and Earl during Domo's verse. Tyler's air guitar solo. The St. Louis Cardinal's Starter jacket. Earl's return to become everything rap fans had hoped. Tyler's purposefully corny tucked in shirt and mockery of molly-popping kids in leather. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Last night, Tyler, The Creator served as the musical guest on the Late Show With David Letterman , and he brought Odd Future compadres Earl Sweatshirt and Domo Genesis with him to do the RZA-channeling Wolf track "Rusty." In an incredibly strange bit of stagecraft, these three guys (minus Domo, who actually seemed pretty into the experience) would stand at the back of the stage when they weren't rapping, snarking on Temptations dance steps or playing air-guitar or standing around uncomfortably.
