We are posting Undefeated's Fall 2010 lookbook, not because they have a few dope items. They do, including pieces with their trademark strikes logo and collabos with Vans & New Balance. Still, that's not the motive. The model in the black leggings is cute as a button. She's the real reason why we are gathered here because yet I do marvel. She will not go unnamed; we will call her "Undefeated girl." Consider this post the extended Cooler. [...]

As expected, the mediocre ballad "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" is not the first song from Whitney Houston's highly-anticipated return of an album I Look To You . It was just a teaser track that was probably leaked by the Arista execs to build up some hype around the new album. Whitney has officially stated that an uptempo track done with Swizz Beatz titled "Mill Dollar Bill" will be the official first single. The track was written by none other than Alicia Keys. Well, they better hurry up if they want to [...]
Jesus. Maybe? Bobby Brown? Unlikely. Michael Jackson? Yes. Anyway, the title is tepid and not what was expected. It should have been a proclamation. Some big statement about coming back and standing out. I mean, if Ashanti can call her album The Declaration then Whitney Houston can do much better, for reals. I Look To You doesn't quite deliver liked Undefeated . The supposed first single, which I am sure is just a teaser, is already being hailed as a Leona Lewis b-side. The title is overawing - "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" - [...]
When stars begin to battle personal demons like addiction, it's usually late in the game by the time the public knows. The spiral will already have the world's current favorite entertainer headed down the drain right after the buzz from their last album has subsided. For example, see the latest chronicles of Amy Winehouse & drunken debauchery . There are a few who manage to show enough resiliency to bounce back. And maybe Whitney is one of those few. Her new single "I Didn’t Know My Own Strength" is not Whitney of old. It does [...]
As I have explained before, for a Mariah Carey album to get push for earlier release is quiet rare. In fact, it has never happened before in the artist's history. When all anticipation was directed at the last quarter of the year for the album to drop. Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel got a very early August 25th date with the single being rushed to radio now. Many speculated that that was due to Mariah wanting to qualify for this year's award season. But, now I think that we have the real reason. Mariah's album, being a sure-fire [...]
The album finally got a release date from Arista Records officials. It's slated for a September 1, 2009 release. No word on the title yet, but the one that has been floating around is Undefeated . But, wikipedia is now reporting that it will be called The Wait Is Over . The latter is a bit boring. The first single is called "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" and that sounds just like the perseverance ditty that she needs. It's weird that it's also coming out around the same time as Mariah Carey's Memoirs Of An Imperfect [...]
As much as I love R&B, I feel like sometimes it gets all muddled up in the hype and plateaus for a bit (jackswing? crunk?). It is best when soul and sultry. Shontelle's horribly named debut Shontelligence seems like a promising reformist record with a hint of reggae. Now let's hope all of these are: Ciara's Fantasy Ride (highly unlikely), Lady Love by LeToya (maybe), Pulse by Toni Braxton (she "doesn't have a single hip hop bone" in her body), Love, Tweet by Tweet (if she dumps Missy), Monica's [...]
