We already knew that upcoming box set from The White Stripes is going to include the film Under Great White Northern Lights , which documents the band's 2007 Canadian adventure. However, the film will be making it's Us debut a few days earlier when it's screened at SXSW on March 12th at 10:00pm at Austin’s Paramount Theater. For those not trekking down to Austin for the festival, IFC’s "Direct From SXSW" will be showcasing the film via the cable network's movies-on-demand service, and will be viewable that same day! Third Man Records , Jack White 's label, have announced plans to open a pop-up shop at the weeklong SXSW festival taking place later this month. The pop-up shops, which have appeared for a temporary time in Los Angeles, New York, and London, will make their way to Austin, Texas for only 4 days. White Stripes are set to debut their documentary, ' Under Great White Northern Lights ', to U.S. audiences during SXSW . The film, which chronicles the band's 2007 Canadian tour, will premiere at the week long festival taking place March 12-20 in Austin, Texas. As we previously reported the band will release the documentary as a box set on March 16. The limited edition box set is set to include the DVD of the film along with a second DVD of the White Stripes 10th anniversary show.

The White Stripes ' first-ever official live album, Under Great White Northern Lights , will be released on March 16th. The Emmett Malloy-directed documentary follows the duo during its cross-country summer 2007 Canadian tour, and captures Jack and Meg performing and offstage.
