United States of Electronica - What We Fightin' 4 Welcome to the next stage after perkalicious. United States of Electronica - seven Seattle-based fun loving dance meddlers, who gave their first album away for free, have just released their follow-up effort LOVEWORLD . This track's from their first, I dare you not to bop/dance/jive along. I dare you. Download here . "Take all these tears that I cry, bring back the years that gone by - just let me see [...]

I have to get to shows really early so that I can find a place to put my ass, so I see a !lot! of opening bands. You know how that goes: you see a lot of OK bands, but you have to learn to kind of space out through bands you don't particularly care for. Every once in a while, though, you score with a great band you've never heard of. Last Wednesday's U.S.E. show at du Nord? Mega score! I've never seen so many people smiling through three bands in a row. [...]

Heavy HV faves U.S.E. are bringing their hearts-out party to the Cafe du Nord stage Wednesday Oct. 21, kicking off a tour to celebrate the release of their latest album Loveworld . Readers who haven't been hit over the head with my U.S.E. smooch stick should check out the three EPs the band has made available for download on a pay-what-you-like basis. And take it from me, it's even better live. Fun! See you there! http://www.usemusic.com [...]

After taking Labor Day off in September, THE RUMBLE: SEATTLE is back at the Crocodile tonight for another FREE night of amazing music. Headlining will be WILD ORCHID CHILDREN in all their garage/punk fury! Coming up from Los Angeles is the mighty FITZ & THE TANTRUMS , a band you've been hearing on KEXP often recently with their white boy soul-Hall & Oates meets Robert Palmer meets Motown party sound. [...]

TONIGHT in San Diego at The Casbah it's a matinee version of THE RUMBLE: SAN DIEGO starting with doors at 6pm and FREE BBQ + Trumer Pilsner beer specials all afternoon/evening. The line-up is incredible, with local badasses RAFTER headlining and showing off the SD power that's happening on that local music scene these days. Sadly, it's the last night of The Rumble Tour with UNITED STATE OF ELECTRONICA who started with us in Seattle and now part [...]

Thanks to everyone that came out to THE RUMBLE: LA last night at 3 Clubs. It had to go down as one of the most over-to-top-big-energy nights we've ever had. All the bands threw down the rock hammer and delivered sets that made it impossible to stand still to. Here are a couple of pictures of last night's party... The perfect photo of Court Alexander from PRAYER , converting the masses with a [...]

LA is not known as a town where the cool kids dance, but tonight we're lifting the 'cool' ban and allowing people to groove without ridicule at THE RUMBLE: LOS ANGELES @ 3 Clubs in Hollywood. Very appropriately named, the opening act are called THE DANCE PARTY from Washington D.C. and they'll set the stage for an entire evening of movement. Then, in what could be a true test of the limits of the band room in 3 Clubs, the [...]

The seven-piece dynamo that is UNITED STATE OF ELECTRONICA are driving through Weed, CA in a fury to reach San Francisco this evening after killing it in Portland last evening at The Rumble: Portland. Tonight they cram into Harlot for THE RUMBLE: SAN FRANCISCO and we're still not sure how they'll all fit, but they'll probably take over the dance floor as well in more ways than one. Joining them is the incredible sounds of PANCE PARTY , which you might as well call [...]

Since early 2005 when we first discovered Seattle's UNITED STATE OF ELECTRONICA and put them on Future Sounds 18 , we've wanted to get to know the Oz behind the curtain of U.S.E. After we witnessed them turn The Rumble: Seattle into their own dance private dance party, we had to get them to do the Rumble WC Tour of shows, and it's worked out around the release of their soon to be released full-length, ' L O V E W O R L [...]

The September RUMBLE TOUR kicks off tonight in Portland at Holocene as UNITED STATE OF ELECTRONICA make a run through all the west coast dates in support of their forthcoming ' L O V E W O R L D ' album. Future Sounds is thrilled to be a part of the return to the music scene by UNITED STATE OF ELECTRONICA and their latest release, " LOVEWORLD ". We had them kick off our Rumble: Seattle party and we're absolutely floored by their live show. Future Sounds featured U.S.E on Future Sounds 18 in February of 2005 after hearing the single, " Emerald City " and downloading their entire record for FREE, long before Radiohead or NIN ever even considered such a concept. That DIY attitude has always resonated with Future Sounds [...]

We're traveling tomorrow to the Emerald City - Seattle, for our first ever RUMBLE: SEATTLE party at The Crocodile . Joining us in throwing the party is THE STRANGER , LINE OUT, EASY STREET RECORDS , WOXY and THE WIG. Get a load of this powerhouse line up of Seattle's finest: THE BLAKES [...]

More early love from Hello Vegetables house band U.S.E.! United State of Electronica is continuing to pour out little sips from its upcoming (August) full-length LOVEWORLD . The last sip ("All The World") were a dang doozie, and this one's no different. But U.S.E. don't just give lip-service to love - both their previous and current EPs are pay-what-you-wish (with plenty of "music nerd" formats). And there's more advance smooches promised for next month. So listen, love, and kick down a little so our friends can stay booty-deep in Red Bull [...]

Coming to us from Seattle, Aqueduct is an indie-pop band that initially consisted of one member, David Terry, creating and producing music in his bedroom. Currently consisting of four members, the band has played with several Seattle-based heavyweights including United State of Electronica , Modest Mouse, and Death Cab for Cutie . Growing Up With GNR is a single off of the band's debut album Power Ballads , self-released in 2003. The album contains several "diamonds in the rough" so to speak, and definitely deserves a listen. Sarah Joann Murphy recently captured all that is U.S.E. in some brilliant photo shoot shots... and thankfully added them to the TIG Flickr pool. It was hard to choose just one... so here's another one of Mr. Noah Star that is sure to cheer up any rainy day... read more

Great jeeminy frog-loggin CHRISTMAS I love United State Of Electronica. As I've said before, they should be one of the most popular bands on Earth, playing packed, sweaty, ass-shaking rooms from sea to smiling sea. They have a devoted following in their native NW, but both times I've seen them in SF, U.S.E. had their work cut out for them. The first time, they were opening for The Hold Steady, which meant 200 dudes with their arms crossed and 5 beautiful freaks wigging out [...]
