The NME described them as the Welsh Kings of Leon. The trouble with this is there's already a Kings of Leon. I'm usually wary of anything with can be described so simply as X meets Y or the whatever X: something like 'Bruce Lee meets Steven Fry only French' would of course be too intriguing to ignore. But that's besides the point, I'd quite like to hear something which is not like anything I've heard before.
