Sam Sparro announces the follow-up to his self-titled debut album - Return To Paradise. Produced by Jesse Rogg and Greg Kurstin, The Shallow End is the first official track from the upcoming set. Based on life in Los Angeles, the video below of 'making of' footage was filmed in LA, NY, London, Spain. We're loving' the funky vibe of this track, and that extended saxophone solo! This isn't our first taste at new material - check out last year's Pink Cloud remix EP featuring You's A Nasty. In other Sparro news, he [...]

Our favorite Swedish electro-pop trio Miike Snow just released the video for Paddling Out , the third track we've heard from upcoming album Happy To You. I'm loving the piano-stuttering production and catchy chorus on this track. Check the futuristic themed video below and leave your comments! Watch: Miike Snow's 'Paddling Out' video via Hard Candy . Brian Lopez may be an unfamiliar name but he hits familiar points that will draw you close - looks like Albert Hammond Jr. (The Strokes), has the same delicate voice as Damien Rice and strums like the great Jeff Buckley. Based in Tuscon, Arizona, Brian presents a desert-noir, psych rock vibe and shakes things up [...]

Here's a free EP I produced called Saint Upid. With guest appearances from J.Good, J. Lately, Kidd Steve, kGb, and 2 Dash Tone, Saint Upid is the sequel to Keep My Records. This project is about making sense of what's considered to be "stupid", while seeing the stupidities of what's considered to be the norm. It also includes previews for my 2 upcoming albums: The Heart Beats (an instrumental LP) and Thick As Thieves (with 2 Dash Tone). DOWNLOAD "Saint Upid" ON BANDCAMP CLICK HERE [...]

The first offering from Bleed Bleed Bleed , the upcoming album from Swede-pop outfit Thieves Like Us comes in the form of New Order inspired Marie Marie. There's something oddly comforting within their laissez-faire disco vibe. Bleed Bleed Bleed is out March 20th via Captured Tracks. Thieves Like Us: Marie Marie via Hard Candy . Bear In Heaven was just another band with the word 'bear' in it a year ago and now they've pawed themselves into the limelight with their upcoming new album titled, I Love You, It's Cool . Sure, this album may be either the funniest title I've seen in some time or they're just that cool. Judging by their new song, "Reflection Of You", we're starting to believe the latter. Kudos, bear friends. Kudos. I Love You, It's Cool [...]

Last night worlds collided when Madonna and M.I.A . (two of my favorite pop stars) appeared on primetime television for the 20/20 interview heard around the world. Madonna sat down with Cynthia McFadden for a very frank interview discussing everything from her upcoming film W.E. , her Superbowl halftime performance in February (of which both M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj will appear), her pun-tastic upcoming album titled M.D.N.A. and of course taking a jab at Lady Gaga. Amazing! [...]

"Just For Me" is the first single from Dave's upcoming album Gone, which will be released in Spring. As he sings "here's to never giving up..." it not only focuses on going after the love you [...]

Cassie , Queen of Icy Electro-R&B, has been taking her sweet, sweet time to find her sound and deliver her long-awaited (UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE CENTURY) sophomore attempt-nearly 6 years after her debut record. But between the video preview for her upcoming single "King of Hearts" and this brand new interview with V Magazine 's Patrik Sandberg , it sounds like the engine's are finally revving for Bad Boy's ultimate Bad Girl. From V Magazine : The record itself maintains the dark and sultry elements of her early material [...]

I clearly remember writing about Ashen Keilyn's band Scout in 2004 or 2005, when our site was ugly and our readership non existent. At the time I also caught them live at now defunct Sin-e` (I used to live across the street from it, on Attorney Street, it was pretty handy). Since then they kind of disappeared, so I was surprised to get a press release about them after this long. I was also surprised by the sound of the single they are giving away for free ("Please Excuse Me", streaming here), included in their new EP "PI", [...]

After being caught "Flexin'" in his hometown, T.I. has unleashed the sizzling "Pyro", the third single from his eighth studio album, Trouble Man .
