Pretend like you're floating in space with us with the new video from Kris Menace 's latest single, "Falling Star". As Menace himself explained, "Listening to this track is like being pulled through the stars by your heart with your eyes closed. I wanted to create a space odyssey, opening your mind and taking you far away into another world." With the help of legendary live visual mastermind HEXSTATIC, the video does just that to you alongside the music. "Falling Star" comes from Menace's upcoming album, Electric Horizon . Back in May 2008 The Ting Tings burst onto the scene with their debut album We Started Something , and on the 27th of this month (February) the band will release their sophomore effort, Sounds from Noewheresville . Supposedly the band scrapped an entire album's worth of material when making new music and started over, and today a new track has surfaced titled "Soul Killing". I'm certainly not sold on this band but maybe the album will offer up a little more. See what you make of it and let us know if the feeling ismutual.

As previously reported, Battles are releasing a four-part series featuring remixes of tracks from their Gloss Drop LP. The releases are cleverly titled: Dross Glop . Today you can stream another track from, this time from Dross Glop 2 , a reworking of "White Electric" from Shabazz Palaces. To be released on February 20th it'll feature other reworkings from Kode 9 and The Alchemist. Jump over here to stream two remixes from Dross Glop 1 .

Two evenings ago, Huw Stephens of BBC Radio One debuted a brand new track from none other than Sir Tom Jones, the legendary 71-year-old crooner. The track in question is a cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Evil" and was put together with the helping hands of the man of the hour, Jack White . It will be released as part of Third Man Records' Blue Series and on the 5th of March he'll release this along with a new recording of his 2002 track "Jezebel", both with production credits going to White. Donny Glover is a man of many talents and his musical career as Childish Gambino is blossoming following the release of his recent LP, Camp . He's now teased his ever growing number of fans with a 36 second clip for the official video of "Heartbeat" which, rumour has it, will hit the internet on the 14th of Feb. Vostok is a lake 2 miles under the surface of Antarctica and is thought to be over 1 million years old. Scientists have been drilling to reach the lake to find out if life can survive in such harsh environments. With Sleigh Bells teasing a few songs from their forthcoming LP Reign of Terror the duo have now been booked for Saturday Night Live! The show will air on the 18th of February and they'll perform lead single " Comeback Kid " and the album track "End of the Line". As a result of the booking they have had to reschedule two tour dates: the February 16 show in Washington which is now set for March 26th and the February 18 show in Toronto have been rescheduled for March [...]

At the start of the month Murdoch of Gorillaz released a statement talking of a new track for Converse's 'Three Artists, One Song' series and that the group would release something that'd "knock everything else Gorillaz have done out of the park." It also mentioned that the track would have two mystery guests but until now it's been all speculation. The band has just announced that the track will feature Andre 3000 and James Murphy ! Last year Death Grips got people's attention with an EP called Ex Military and now we've got news from the California group that they are to release not one but two proper albums this year, which will be distributed worldwide! Hallelujah. Solid details are still forthcoming but we can expect our first one from them in April. For now that's all she wrote but you can peep a brand new track called "Blackjack" up at the top.

Late last year Damon Albarn was everywhere and was part of just about every music collaboration imaginable. Two years ago at CMJ I gushed about catching Lucius over at Rockwood Music Hall . Since then, the up-and-coming Brooklyn band spent some time fine tuning their craft and carefully crafting their forthcoming self-titled EP which is set to release on Valentine's Day this year.
