The Neptunes 2-Hour Mix Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams were easily the most revered hip-hop production duo of the early’00s. With beat credits for Busta Rhymes, Clipse, Diddy, and Justin Timberlake, as well as an unforgettable album of their own (In Search Of),anyone who knows anything about hip hop can appreciate what they’ve done. Thankfully, NTS resident Martelo just dedicated his entire two-hour radio show to the group’s prowess. Enjoy 120 minutes of nothing but The Neptunes. You can stream it here with part 2 to follow soon.
If you ever get the chance, don't forget to stop-by Pharrell Williams' Twitter and/or Facebook page to wish him a very happy birthday as he turned 40 today (4/5/13). Valentines Day meant the music world was very much into the lovin' spirit this week, which fortunately provides plenty of mellow tracks to enjoy with your special someone. If our Valentines Playlist ignited your lust for smooth tracks, then the Chill Dojo will look to continue to satisfy, now and in the weeks to come. After all, this sort of music isn't just for one day a year, so make it a habit to keep your playlists fresh. Before we kick into the baby-makers, we couldn't help but start things in an upbeat mood with 3 [...]
We at Idolator are true believers in the power of love, not to mention the romance of Valentine’s Day! We'd never allow the cynical musings of certain pop stars (we’re looking at you, Ms. “The truth about love is it's all a lie” Pink ) or the lingering memory of a terrible Garry Marshall movie take that away from us. However, we do concede that a day of L-U-V can go to H-E-LL if one doesn't plan their Valentine's Day playlist accordingly. After all, V-Day isn’t necessarily an easy date to pull off : romantic dinners, [...]

Miguel's "Adorn" won Best R&B Song and Usher's "Climax" won Best R&B Performance. Skrillex was the big winner in the Dance/Electronica category. Bangarang won Best Dance/Electronica Album and [...]
Before we go full-speed ahead into the 55th Annual Grammy Awards weekend, we're taking one last look back at the music awards show. This time, we're celebrating the men who helped make the Grammys golden. Now, this is not one big Grammy beefcake roundup (though many of the fellas featured here are quite handsome). Instead, we're focusing on the classic moments (like when Michael Jackson took Brooke Shields and Emmanuel Lewis as his guests) and perhaps long forgotten snapshots (like Maroon 5 wearing name tags on the red carpet the night they would win [...]

Once DrDr dropped that ridiculous Justin TImberlake “Cry Me a River” cover last year, I would trust these guys to anything. Now they have gone ahead and messed around with our #1 song of last year, Usher’s “Climax”. Adding female vocals, only brings up the seductiveness of the track, giving it a completely new 90s house outlook. Just wonderful. Listen and free download below.

Talented and entertaining as he is, Justin Timberlake has never been a particularly innovative or revolutionary pop star. He's good at what he does (with excellent taste in producers -- take a bow, Timbaland), but years from now, long after that other Justin (Bieber) exits puberty, we'll all remember Justin No. 1 as the guy who once brought sexy back, but not necessarily as someone who ushered in a truly future-sex-love sound (not the way Burn -era Usher did), or the once-greatest dancer/inspiration for millions of young Americans who got talent. In other words, he's not [...]
Tracing four decades of pop music to figure out just what, exactly, makes a song timeless.

SNL went old school with their choice in hosting duties this past weekend. They went for the sure thing by opting to have SNL veteran, Will Ferrell, take the hosting duties. The 100th digital short for SNL included Justin Bieber,Michael Bolton, Julian Casablancas, Natalie Portman, Justin Timberlake and more (probably the only time I'll ever use those names in the same sentence). Usher belted out his two radio hits of off the forthcoming album, "Looking for Myself," scheduled for release June 12. Usher "Scream" on [...]

Next week's SNL will feature host Mick Jagger as well as musical guests Foo Fighters & Arcade Fire . Watch Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, Usher & More In SNL's 100th Digital Short |

Last night's Saturday Night Live may have had Usher fans screaming and climaxing, but those of us who love their Digital Shorts also experienced a climactic moment when many of the series' best video stars returned for the 100th Digital Short. As you'd expected, this was an unparalleled extravaganza of nuttiness, beginning with a tuxedo-clad Justin Bieber wholesomely getting jazzed about the celebration — interrupted by suggestion of a very un wholesome activity everyone intends to do to themselves. (So as not to tarnish his mom-friendly [...]

Last night the producers of SNL brought out the big names to celebrate the 100th digital short. Justin Bieber Saturday Night Live is celebrating a major milestone: its 100th digital short. In the short, Justin Bieber, dressed in a fancy suit, thinks he's in for a clean, singing good time. Turns out though, the guys are going to celebrate their 100th short by shaking off the cobwebs, limbering up, stretching it out and [...]
I feel a FEVER comin' on...specifically a BIEBER fever. To the delight of screaming little girls all over the world, Justin Bieber premiered the video for new single "Boyfriend" on MTV and VEVO at 7:50 PM this evening. I'm embarrassed and a little bit ashamed to admit that "Boyfriend" marks the very first Justin Bieber post here on Music Is My King Size Bed. So go easy on me!Written by

It's Justin Bieber's 18th birthday today! And even though the pop star still isn't old enough to legally order a drink stateside or in his native Canada (well, except in Quebec where the drinking age is 18), we're commemorating Bieber's entrance into adulthood with a very special list. You'll see why hordes of teen girls want to date him, why grown men want to be him and why the name Justin Bieber will dominate every Twitter feed and Google search today. Because today marks the day when Justin Bieber becomes the coolest 18-year-old to have ever walked the planet. And [...]

Every decade there is one or two male Pop/R&B vocalists that captivate the audiences of women everywhere. A mainstream trend that started back in the day with Elvis, then Michael Jackson, and more recently with Justin Timberlake and Usher, the artist needs to be good looking, have a killer voice, and be able to dance - [...]
