Tonight we've got two awesome bands, Ra Ra Riot and Motel Motel, throwing record release parties in Brooklyn. Ra Ra Riot will be DJing alongside their buddies Vampire Weekend at Brooklyn Bowl, which is free and has some kind of Cabo Wabo tequila deal. Motel Motel is having their party over at Union Pool with DJ sets from Chairlift and Violens. That one costs $8, which is kind of a bummer. Link:

When Vampire Weekend producer, composer, songwriter, and sometimes vocalist Rostam Batmanglij remixed - under his remix moniker Boys Like Us - OK GO's "White Knuckles", he had only one thing in mind - to trick us into thinking this was a brand new Discovery track. Maybe it's the spine-breaking back breaks or the astute synths, but Batmanglij has done a terrific job spinning an admittedly mediocre track into a golden experimental indie pop number that made this guy earn for another Discovery album.
