The latest video for the Jneiro Jarel and MF DOOM collaboration, JJ DOOM, has just released. Following the camera trickery in the previous video, "Guv'nor," "Bookhead" finds the supervillain donning a convenient store security mirror while he peers through a library, linking the video to the "Bookhead" title. The camera angle alternates between a normal wide-angle lens to a first-person convex angle to simulate the mirror mask, which was an interesting touch. It's not as compelling as the "Guv'nor" effects, but it's good to see director Steve Powers experimenting with his camera.

CMT Crossroads is a series of specials that aims to connect country-music luminaries with friends from across musical divides, but it usually just combines different flavors of cheese. (The last episode, for instance, paired Rascal Flatts with Journey.) But the show's next episode promises to be something special. In 2012, rap-weirdo legend DOOM teamed up with the quirky producer Jneiro Jarel to form the short-lived duo JJ DOOM and released the album Keys To The Kuffs . Nearly a year later, they've made a video for the album track "Bookhead," and it shows DOOM going through a Kafka-style metamorphosis, joining forces with a bodega security mirror to become a human fisheye lens. One of the strongest rap mixtapes of the year thus far is Sunday School: When Church Lets Out , the latest from the tough and gnarled Chicago rapper/producer Tree. Tree just shared his video for the honking, soul-thundering mixtape track "Busters" this morning, but he must've taped it months ago, when Chicago was still frozen tundra. The Lakutis -featuring "ay shawty 3.03 was one of our favorites from the Florida rapper Kitty's 2013 mixtape  D.A.I.S.Y. rage , and it's now got a video that's like the Virgin Suicides meets Bonnie and Clyde . We love how Kitty's videos are equal parts dreamy and tough, kind of like her songs themselves - she wanders through a selection of hazy, blurry fields, Lakutis hangs out in a cage, and everyone gets a mugshot.
